I've searched this yet couldn't come up with anything, so here is my question:

Wich cars can have really large rims? You can make any rims larger by adding Qualifying (A.k.a Supre Soft) Racing wheels.

So please participate and contribute to this topic!

According to Ultrashot the Skyline does but....:scared:
The Mercedes SL65 gets some pretty big wheels especially the "bling rims". Thats all I know of though as I don't tend to put new rims on a car tends to ruin the orginality of the car in my opinion.

Adding dirt tires to a couple of cars (notably the Chevelle and I think the 'Cuda) makes the rims bigger, as it eliminates the lettering on the tires.

That hardly occurs tough, toronado. Mostly on cars that have tiny rims when usually, like muscle cars.

I'll update the list to the currently made comments.

Rims that look big, so pretty much rims that give thin tires, yes.

im not sure if you are joking or not, but im quite possitive that assembling dirt tires to most cars make the rims go bye-bye.. the Supra RZ has rediculous rim size when equipped with super-soft racing tires... try putting the old mustang rims (when they appear in the "today's special") on the other muscle cars such as the cougar xr-7... i love it

We can blame it parially on the whole bling thing that's been happening. Later model cars have larger and larger rims (with even larger ones as an option) in an effort to look stylish. This may be okay on a track but in the real world these huge rims coupled with tires that have smaller and smaller sidewalls are just about useless. In the real-world, speed bumps, rocks, pot holes, and curbs eventually dent the rim up or cause it to warp. I should know, I occasionally have some messed-up rims in my shop.

large shinny rims attract woman.. but knowing how to race cars attracts even more, and you dont need large shinny rims to race cars.. especially in gt4

Hey....that blue Mustang in my avatar attracted some chicks, too, and it only had 15" alloys! :sly:

So Rayquaza, the car in your avatar has some decent size rims. I remember the 1949 VW Beetle had some big rims when I put gold STi rims on it. And just about any LM Race/Touring car. I'll come up with a more detailed list when I buy GT4 tomorrow. I FINALLY CAN PLAY GT4. :dopey:

Ok Tunervision, inform me when you can give a more precise approach to LM Race/Touring car, as not all of them can actually HAVE a rim change.

List is up to date and i have listed the updates also.

after reading your post two questions arose in my head:

1. Do you or anyone, happen to know which day these rims appear in the shop?
2. Do they(the rims) have the same sort of cylce like the used cars lot?

Sure! The wheels are coded SL0221 and appear on Day 20 of the cycle, being the tenth wheels from the left. The cycle takes 29 days to complete in the PAL version. 👍

Alas to you, my friend!

Oh and Ray, thanks for starting this thread. It's really helpful for my gallery:)

do you have a printable rim cycle or know where i can find one? i normally keep my eye on the display but a cycle would be awesome, so that i dont have to keep looking at it all the time

I surely do, I made one myself when I had far too much spare time a while ago...

All PAL used wheels and the original cars listed, I'm not entirely sure about all the models and naturally I take full responsibility for all mistakes. A special mention goes for Leonidae for helping in some tricky spots. Thanks buddy! 👍

GT4 Used Wheels - PAL, .xls file, 68 kb

Any feedback is appreciated, be it positive or negative.

that is really cool mate... thanks a bunch

Damn, couldn't find GT4 in stores today... :banghead: I'll name some off the back of my head. Toyota RSC and RSC Rally Car, Subaru Impreza LM, NSX LM, Integra LM, I think the S2000 LM but I'm like 75% sure for the S2000 LM, Mitsu CZ-3 Tarmac, TVR Speed 12 sort of has big rims, depending on which one you choose, and Nissan Cube. I'll think of more later.

TVR Speed 12 aren't that big (check my latest update) And if somebody can confirm the s2000 LM i'll add that one. I'll put down the rest.

Trial Celica don't really have huge rims.. but i'll add the Mine's evo.
