Greetings,

The latest FIA plan to 'spice up' 'the show' is that each driver should be required to drive each car throughout a season. This is the brainchild of one Max Mosley, who in my opinion, is very clever, but manages to say some pretty stupid things.

The first thing I can see is the potential clash of personal and team sponsorship. For example, how could you resolve the fact that MS is sponsored by Shell, when he's driving a (Castrol sponsored) Williams? Or Mark (Admiral) Webber in (Allianz) Williams?

Anyway, I've put a poll in so you can say where you stand on this one!

Who pays the drivers then?
I don't think Minardi could afford a week with Schumacher, I don't think Ferrari wants Young anywhere near their cars.

This idea is the worst ever.

It sounds like real-life Fantasy Formula One - what next, engine swaps through the season?

I'd love to see it, but it's just far too difficult to implement.

Is this Bernie and Max deliberately putting some outrageous ideas forward, and then compromising back to what they really want?

An interesting hypothesis dear Vat. Hmm. We'll need to pay a little more attention to the Bernie and Max Show than is customary...
