Le Mans 2010 and GT5

Yeah dude! :D

Rocketing down Mulsanne straight at 400kph, guided just by the tailights of the your opponents. Epic, just EPIC! đź‘Ť

Yep, and then realising too late you mistakenly chose the version with the chicanes instead of the old one without......;)

, a good opportunity to test the damage on Premium cars, isn't it?

Depends if you have to pay for damage repair, if I just struggled a few hours to grind 2 million or whatever credits together to acquire a new R15 and I unwittingly drive it into a concrete barrier doing 400km/h I might not enjoy the comprehensive damage-modelling that much......;)

& the bugatti circuit! this time

Hopefully :)

I have to say, I'm with Jack Brabham - I really don't like that circuit. It works for motorbikes, where mid-corner tussling is common, but it's just plain awful in cars, where the primary modes of overtaking are outbraking and slingshotting / slipstreaming. Although, it does depend on the car.

Still, I wouldn't be annoyed if it were to be included - and it would make sense, in light of the new NĂĽrburgring variations. I understand the reservation against becoming too excited, but I really do think we may get some nice surprises "soon". :)

Im 23, and I cant remember being as excited for any Christmas more than I am for the combination of Le Mans and probable announcement of a release date in June. I honestly cant remember a time when I've thought, "I want to go to sleep for the next month until this day" more. Although I must agree 99% of PD's attention will go to E3. It's just an awesome timing coincidence of events. The automotive perfect storm

They could just fill the Xbox360 logo with a PD logo.
They also killed the EA Sports logos from the NASCARs.

Agree with you!!!! When you play Champions league mode from PES 2010 on Xbox 360 you can see Playstation logo, because Playstation is one of sponsors...

This is 2010, and its the PS3. Its the exclusive Sony racer that hopes to ante up the level of what to expect from such a game.

Therefore I expect I will be able to choose a simple thing like night for any track I please. (As long as it's really raced at night)

And boy I hope I dont get my hopes up đź‘Ť

Reasonable theory. Infact, I predict two of the prototypes they'll have playable on the demo (assuming its the lastest game build demo and not Gamescom/TGS/CES/SLS build) will be the Audi R10 and Mazda 787B from both the original E3 trailer and the AGS trailer.

Which one though?

I sure have my fingers crossed for online support with the 24 hour race where you can "change drivers" midway through the race with an online buddy. Not long now peeps!

There was something about that on Kaz's twitter today ..although nothing to get excited about , just that he agreed with someone about that idea..
But
1) I don't know if it's his real twitter , although it looks pretty genuine.. When he was at NĂĽrbĂĽrg some travel comments etc.. and time of the tweets was accurate too
2) We need a Japanese person to translate his twitters, because really.. Google translate can't make anything out of it, except some words

it's nice to know that he sees the potential in the feature. At least these extended development times increase the chance of such a feature being added.

Lesson learned a year ago after TGS: Never use google to translate Japanese, it never comes out the way you want it.

Seriously? I think it looks amazing. :)

By the way, I still don't get why this thread isn't locked, isn't it the same as the picture wishlist we had?

EDIT: Forget it, I thought this is the "what car are you looking forward.." thread.

that has to be the single most ugly race car i have ever seen in my life.

:yuck:

Citroen 2CV is uglier mate.

Back to topic. We haven't seen Sarthe in GT5 yet apart from that mega old demo with the Audi R8 and stuff. Will be good to see an up-to-date version.

It's on 12th and 13th of June. E3 starts on the 14th. So I'm guessing mid June we'll see alot of new GT5 stuff.

Me too. Sure its not a Ferrari or a Porsche, but I think its cool. I always found the open top one abit silly looking though, just never looked right on the track to me. Thankfully, they've decided to put the roof back on:

Most I think could happen is just a new updated Circuit de la Sarthe, with an Audi R10 to drive, and maybe some new LMP cars as opponents.

Or it will probably be an updated Sarthe with the same cars we've been seeing for the past year.
