League Closed

So I want to say how the inaugural event went very well, IMO. The M3 is predictable and well balanced to my liking. I race with a G27 wheel set to 670 degrees and that helps with consistency. For endurance events, staying out of the pits as much as possible is key, to say the least.

I look forward to our next race at the GREEN HELL and wonder how the tight track will be dealt with by racers attempting to pass? Will patients be used? Or, will every drivers capitalize on any gap to make the most? Who will drive for the fastest lap or race for the win?

I plan to test and if anyone would like to join me look for me in a room titled "KINDSoNURB". Thanks!

I also use a G27 wheel. I hold the center two red buttons and tap the black circle button on the shifter console, I think that's what you do too Xrad-11. Yes, staying out of the pits as much as possible is important, as is turning consistent lap times in an endurance race. As far as the "GREEN HELL" is concerned, when it comes to passing with "heavy damage" turned on, if drivers aren't paying close attention or get to greedy, they will crash each other sooner or later, and it can be a long way back to the pit box with engine and tire damage.

Race Day!!!

Good luck to all drivers...

Drive safe and drive clean, heavy damage is on and you don't want to ruin anybody's race by aggressive driving.
It can be a long way back to the pit box if you get damaged.

Race day is back and testing the GREEN HELL is done. I found the the tires will last for the hour and depending on your driving style, ya might even have enough gas to complete 7 full laps (Lead foots not included). FYI, stay off the curbs or at least full throttle if you're over them.

Sorry guys but may not make it tonight or Mondays going forward due to family plans on Mondays. I'll race when I can.

The GREEN HELL was a battle with in a battle. Trying to put down a good lap time and focusing on staying off the curbs is a victory in itself. Again, I want to say how the M3 is well balance and predictable as long as one is well practiced at this endless track. Knowing where the car is loose and how to get the most out of the 15 miles of turns is a must for any success, whether it be staying out of the pits or possibly taking the checker flag.

I will be around here testing and practicing the M3 at the G. H. for our next enduro, so look me up in the evenings (west coast times) at a room labeled KINGSoNURB. I have good intel to show and tell.

@Jakedog23 If you wish to continue racing with us that is perfectly fine, as long as you practice before entering the race, and you must be able to show competent, predictable and safe driving skills on the track or you will be kicked out during the race, and you will get a penalty for the following race. Your penalty will be starting from the last grid position. This league is for good , clean drivers that can maintain pace. Trying to go as fast as humanly possible will get you absolutely nowhere if you can't handle the vehicle. By telling you all of this, I'm only trying to help you become a better driver in the future.

I will give it this last week and if I am still goin to do the same then I will quit

Just so everybody knows, this is a place for communication...it seems like nobody every gets up here and talks back and forth, i don't understand why???? All the other threads that i read is people talking , but so far for the most part, this thread is a ghost town.

Ghost town or not I will post my comments as needed or if I'm practicing. As it goes, I plan to open a room Saturday evening for KINGSoNURB. Please join me and let's work on some error free driving. I want to point out as many hazards and loose corners to help improve the competition for the whole hour. GP/D is small and simple but one error and it's a 5 sec drop off the pack.

Send friend request to as many drivers as possible so we all see when someone has a room open. Thanks and be the best you can be.

Hey guys, I hate to do this, but I may not make it tonight. Hopefully there will still be enough people to race.

I think I will make it.
I haven't driven in the GP circuit, only on the Nordschleife, but so be it.
Hopefully I'll see you all later today on the track!

Sorry, fellas, but my connection is very laggy (three laps without problems was the best I could do) and it was afraid to screw someone's race at some point, so I parked myself out of the way and will come back to fight another day.
Nothing is working properly here since before the start of the World Cup, internet hasn't recovered yet, apparently.

Good luck to the ones still on the track.

How long to wait for the results of week 3?

I had to change it up a bit last race to help with not getting bored . 1 pitstop, and a spinout, plus some no hands driving so i could get back to some real intence bumper to bumper driving for most of the one hour sprint ( no i mean enduro, ha ha).

Maybe a reverse grid based on points could close it up some?

Your funny, ill have the results posted before i go to sleep tonight, still at work,i dont have a work schedule, i just work when i feel like it.

Next Week is the final race of the first season. The grid order will be REVERSED based off of the current point standings as suggested by Xrad-11. The OP has been changed as well. The drivers list has now been updated because of a lack of participation by select drivers. (3 weeks of absence you get deleted and must re-apply). Xrad-11 has already locked in his Season Championship as he can't be caught by points. Xrad-11 is the first King of the Nurburgring!!!

The battle for points 2nd-4th is very close, lets hope everybody races and gives it their all.

After next weeks race Xrad-11 must follow the procedure to begin selection for the following season. After his (2) selections have been made, and the final point standings have been posted, the drivers 1st-5th in points must vote. Each driver gets (1) vote. Votes must be sent to mlbguy4life in private message here on gtp. You have untill Sunday night (7-27-14) at midnight to cast your votes or they will be overridden by myself. The Car selection and schedule for season 2 will be updated in the OP on Monday 7-28-14. Monday 7-28-14 is our off week between seasons, and the online lobby will be open from 9-11pm for practice with the new car.

I have had a couple of pretty unsatisfying phone calls with my ISP and they did confess that there was "intermittent issues" on Monday, whatever that means.
Hopefully things will clear up before next week's race.

Congrats to XRad.

I hope the car is as good a drive stock as the first selection!
