A great race between me and the LotS founder, we had a little hicup at first with the race being set to 1 lap, we did that lap without noticing and timber chose to lead first, after that we restarted the race with 20 laps starting at round 2 me infront and timber stayed behind me the whole way I couldnt shake him at all, was starting to think im in for a long battle here
Round 3 timber leads again he got quite wide near the start on a high speed uphill righ hander but the gap wasnt there long enough to make a clean pass so I backed out to avoid contact, I stayed right on his bumber till the last corner were timber went wide and spun into me causing us both damage so timber gave me the win.
Looking at the last corner senario again I possibly could have passed on the inside as he went very wide and late braked but I wasnt sure of the final straight rull on no passing so I let off, I now know you can pass at the last corner and drag side by side to finish, but if you use the slipstream to get ahead that is against the rules.

Yes, it was a great battle. My first official battle in I think almost 1 month. The last straight rules are becoming more clear. You can drag to the finish provided you are side by side after the last corner towards the last straight. But slipstreaming at the last straight is not allowed for the chaser.

Any ideas on what the new Class is??? Maybe 550PP if so will we be seeing the Amuse S2000 R1 vs
Amemiya FD3S RX-7 Touge battles!!

First battle at my home course this season and my first win was from an exciting Elise vs VX220 duel. Indiana chose to chase first due to his lack of course knowledge and was able to stay the tail of my lighter but less powerful and aerodynamic Vauxhall. The Elise then began suffering understeer and started to fall back. Indiana kept the gap below 3 seconds until he hit dirt and spun out at the double-apex left hander. He refused to throw in the towel but it was too late as the gap was 8 seconds by the time I crossed the finish line.

I had a crazy idea of how to draw attention to the world of touge. I was thinking of starting a car magazine exclusive to gt5. Think of how many people it will bring in.

Street led in his VX220 and my S14 was able to keep on his tail for the first half of the course. I had an opportunity to go for the outside line and try to pass but it was no good due to Street-King's great cornering ability and he spread the gap back to a few car lengths. The Vauxhall then kept slowly spreading the gap and I began driving more anxiously in the last sector which helped Street edge out a 3.1 second gap at the finish line. I'm pleased with the results for the Silvia's first shake down and can't wait to develop it further; although I should have been able take it at least to the next round.

Confirmed. Your S14 is extremely capable and pulling away was harder due to my lack of raw power. Keep tweaking the setup and victories should roll in

This is a battle I been looking forward to having since mid season 2 since I lost to streetking on one of his old course's, and finaly we got the chance to have this battle as our connections where both good once,
We raced on his new home course this time (Its a great track btw I hope to do more battles here) Streetking chose to lead first and I was able to stay with him pretty close the whole lap. Round 2 and im leading, I felt I could go faster than I did when I was chasing so I did and streetking did his best to keep up but his Evo X was slowly droping back and I crossed the line 4.4seconds ahead to win.

While we both had a good connection we decided to have a Beta class battle too, againg streetking chose to lead first,
Round 1 I noticed my S14 had alot more power than his VX220 but he could throw his car into the turns and slide through with grace at ease while I had to hard brake and make sure I got a good line or I understeerd, I was able to stay close under 1 second behind at the finish,
Round 2 Im leading and try to go all out to make use of his lack of power, I was pulling away to a good lead at one point getting over a 3second gap through a checkpoint, but in the last sections of the track I droped off the pace and made a few mistakes where streetking could catch up, I crossed the like 2.937 seconds ahead! So close but yet so far..
Round 3 and I went for glory here, staying close to streetking I get a good corner exit coming uphill and out power him to pass on his left and stay inside for the next corner where I stayed ahead to win. (It was epic watching his VX220 slide full speed through the corners behind me getting close but slowing droping back as I get into the powerband)

Confirmed. Was definitely an epic battle as my gamble with lightweight ultimate handling is roughly working around 50/50. Looking forward to racing again.

Having a non-official rain battle with fullmoonzer0 at Aki-No-Ryosen(?) was one of the most frightening races I've done. Sliding from corner to corner as conditions became harder and practically undriveable as both our AWDs struggled for grip really gets the adrenaline going

Any one going to be on at about 4pm (gmt10+)? I'll be running my DC2 on Angletickula

LotS Regulars, if you could post your GMT including your normally online time, that'll be great!

Confirmed my timing was off today, I was turning in early and braking late. A little rusty from the time away from touge. Great driving by Street.

Wynter there is already a magazine about gt5. So far there have only been two issues. I thought about doing an article on touge, but I am an inconsistent writer.

Hey Wynter, yeah, the GT Life magazine.
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=153317

I've always wanted to put in an article as well, but you know. I never got around to do it, I don't have that much time and I rather spend that time Touge-ing instead. That's why I don't really bother making cool banners and stuff. But with everyone's help here, we're able to bring LotS to where it is today. With cool banners and footer images as well.

Wynter, depending on your article, if you'll like some input, I am more than willing to help out. If you want the background of LotS, I can share that as well! haha...

My first rain battle and wow are these battles tense! And my first battle against a fellow FD driver 👍 haha awesome battle though.

Round 1 I lead first and made the choice of staying on Sports Hard tyres while chev went for Comfort Softs, we were pretty evan paced at the start but gradualy I started to get a slight lead, about half way through and a I notice the checkpoint time at roughly 2.5seconds so I try and keep it steady, the end section is now approaching and is also the most difficult being all downhill I got a little wide on the last few tight downhill corners but there is a decent bit of straight with a kink in it before the final turn but I messed up the kink slightly so pulling out of the end turn I floor it with a good exit and cross the line 2.4 seconds ahead. Mostly thanks to my FD being more powerfull.

Very close and tense race! but so much fun at the same time, dont think I'll be doing another rain battle anytime soon though im more at home on dry tarmac.

A few new courses I've never heard before. Be sure to share it on your GT5 account.

I never thought of a conscious selection of Comfort Soft tyres. That's very interesting.
And if it was a CMSD 3 Second battle, things would have been different!

If we can just find a decent writer this article would be easy. A two page article with a few pictures that says touge is a growing community would bring in tons of players into LotS and would warrant a sub-forum.

The course I just had the race on with chev69velle is a creation of Wynters, it's a eifel touge course, over 5 miles long with a epicly fun downhill section at the end, he has it on share im pretty sure, and yeah about the tyres i've heard lots of people say CS have more grip in the rain but I felt more confortable on SH.
Oh and I agree if it was a cmsd3 sec race might have been a different story so im glad chev chose the 2 second gap, but im starting to like the 2 second gap alot more now, 3seconds behind can be a huge distance on some courses,

After compiling the list of drivers and cars from all of the previous season. I have updated the regulars list. There's a couple of people who don't get on as often but clearly understand the LotS concept and have actively participated in the past.

Kado wanted to lead and I must say he was doing a good job with his s14. I was behind him most of the time and tried to pass him on the outside a few times but didn't want to chance it. Then i went for another pass on the outside and i slipped on some dirt leaving him with a 4 second lead on the track section. I kept my cool focusing on my target and within a short period of time I was back to being right behind him. I waited for a perfect opportunity and I made a clean pass in the last section of the track giving me the win.:scared: Awesome player for giving it his all & fighting back

shocked, i spent hours practicing in rain, but if i had to lose its good its a fellow fd. so thats 2 official rain losses maccers on my list now and i need to run fragolas in the rain for a s2 rematch.

Reason for cs; soft compound warms even on cold wet track and it has a road tread designed to handle rain.

ps. we were at 80% surface water, meaning anything over 50mph was hydroplaneing

I think it's unfortunate that I think PD has fixed the rain bug on the Toscana Tarmac custom courses. I don't seem to get anymore raining on those custom maps anymore.
