OK, thanks for explaining. I was just being skeptical because it seemed like such an obvious exploit would have been discovered by the community long ago. In this case, we'll also need to forbid any aero kits which don't change the PP too, just to be sure.

Cheers man for listening. Also I think we should allow for some flexibility as well. I will allow the body kits for some rice-si-ness. Cause body kits will promote better aero dynamics. Going all out to balance out standard and premium cars I think it's overkill.

Sorry, but I don't understand why you think this is the best policy we can choose at this point. Why are we giving more attention to canards than the other non-PP aero parts? If the canards are suspicious, then surely things like bumpers and diffusers would be too, right? Is there something unique to the canards that I am not aware of? Surely, we would prioritize fairness over cosmetics. I'm not trying to be annoying here; I just want to understand your logic.

Where can the diffuser parts can be found? I'm a little confused as what is the difference between diffuser and cannard parts.

Urmm... how would I put it. I based the decisions based on the Initial D manga and Anime. Clearly body kits are used. But I haven't seen any Cannards used. As it could be illegal to have it on your car.

I try to keep a balance between fairness and the concept of using a road legal car for illegal road racing.

I have a question. How do we police the proper use of the power limiter? I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, I'm just wondering.

Integrity of players and nothing else.

Who knows one day PD might bring in an update to help us on that. :)

Ok, I will take that as a street legal car and is eligible.

the gran turismo 350Z is eligible, the 380SR, if 95% power limiter gets it to 500PP, then it's eligible... Use of Ballast is still not yet decided yet.

In that case, I think you may be mistaking canards for something else; I don't know much concerning their legality, but as an example, the Amemiya FD, which is road legal, has a set of canards on its front bumper. From an aerodynamic standpoint, it can often be difficult to draw the line between explicit canards and a uniquely shaped bumper lip.

But this is besides the point because I thought the important thing here was whether or not they could enhance a car's performance without affecting it's PP.

I was considering changing my car, but in giving the Z some more time to decide. If it's no bueno I'll have to resort to my secret drift car haha

So what is a diffuser actually? I haven't got a grasp of it yet.

AERO UPDATES FOR SEASON 1

Ok now I know the difference between diffusers and carnards after searching on Google Images. At the same time, I also did a search on the GTP forums on front aero kits. As far as I can see, there isn't any solid evidence 'within' GTPlanet that says that front aero kits does anything. If it does, it is minute.

If you think and believe that aero parts will give you an advantage, then I suggest you use a premium car. That's all I will say. In saying that, all Aero parts for Season 1 will be eligible. If you want to see which cars have aero parts other than Rear Wings, look at this thread.

There maybe exceptions, since I came across some comments saying that adding front aero will put a permenant downforce value in the front downforce which can only be seen when a Rear wing is installed. So we'll slowly work that list out.

BALLAST UPDATES FOR SEASON 1

Ballast use for Season 1 is set at 5% of car weight...

For example if the MR2 G-Limited '97 weight is 1220kg,
the max amount of ballast you can use is:
1220 x 5% = 61kg.

And if you use weight reduction,
so full weight reduction for the MR2 is 1039kg,
1039kg x 5% = 51.95kg ~ 52kg.

So use the default weight of the car x 5% is the max value you can use for the ballast.

Thats good. As Night and i were trying to say, there is no proof that the canards give you any advantage. And if it does it wouldn't be much. Not enough to use it as an excuse for losing anyway.

Anyone up for a battle?

Close race during the first run, but there were problems regarding the finish point. We ran again, but CRYSTALBUDS gave his all and left me behind in seconds.

Lap 1
HKS_ragGT-R leads 1st. I got a run on him and tried to pass up the inside of the tight left 4th turn just before the 1st check point but he held a real nice outside line to hold me off. From then on it was a close battle all the way to the finish with me right on his bumper when we crossed the line.
Lap 2
I lead and just manage to hold off his strong attack for the 1st 2 sectors. He almost had me a few times but i just stayed in front. I then got my head down as i knew this guy was the real deal an manged to win by 2.5 seconds.

We decided that i had won as i had a bigger gap to him by the end.

This guy is super fast and his NSX is very well tuned.

Id race HKS_RagGT-R anytime as he is a top bloke and great clean racer!!

Im going to have to do more tuning as i noticed a few weak spots in my car when racing against the level of caliber driver like HKS_RagGT-R and his highly tuned NSX.

Very well confirmed. xD
On the second run, I was really close to him to the point of bumping him on a braking point. ( not intentional )
But from there on, his Subaru just left me behind. Really good race and a very good racer. I give him a 5/5.

First of all I'll like to say that Wynter is a great dude. On the first lap, he was the leader and I was the chaser. 4/5 through the course, my baby started crying but I finished the first run keeping close to him under 3 seconds.

Then I said BRB and Baby... I asked if he could wait, if not I'll forfeit. He said he'll wait. I only came back 15 mins later and he was behind me waiting for me to do the next run. What a great bloke. So we did the next run and he was hot on my tails. Really close, under 1 second most of the time...

Then I managed to hold the position and we went into round 3. Too bad I set the no of laps to 3, if not I would have suggested to do a sudden death. But he asked for Grip Gambler and I asked if I could get an Handicap. And he said ok.

We raced and I somehow got a upper hand. Almost 3/4 of the course, I somehow lost him. He might have spun out or knocked something. But it was great!!
