I know LoTS is some what based off initial d, but saying things like "The Fastest Drifter Theory" is a bit over the top. I thought LoTS was about pushing yourself to be better, and having a bunch of like minded drivers compete with a standardized set of rules. Most Importantly I thought it was about having fun. I don't turn on my PS3 and play GT5 to win, I play it to have fun. It sounds to me like a few of you forgot that's why you probably started playing video games in the first place, to have fun.

Personally speaking I started playing video games to get laid, but I'm sure most of you got into it for fun.

Holy crap guys. Remember in the end we are all human beings. Damn its just races. If you lose then you lose. When I wasn't with KaidoRacers, I would make up all sorts of excuses. I believe that its just a weird phase for racers and we just don't like losing at all. We well make complete ass's out of ourselves for nothing. Just respect each other and race each other. Have fun these touge battles are supposed to be fun anyway.

I'm just annoyed as the first battle my pregnant misses needed me and the second attempt my cat knocked me laptop off the table onto my foot because it wanted to go out...

Due to Niko using a Weather glitch that result WILL NOT get registered as he was using a game glitch to gain an advantage....

I message you. check ya inbox. I wasn't only one using a weather tho, I learned this from Chris. because we thought we should do rainy battle too cause its very harder I just realized you have no experienced even initial D do rainy battle too. but since you guys voted want to banned it, ok I will stop use it for now on. And We will do the rematch under normal condition whenever.

About time the storm blew itself out. Anyway, I like Snake's idea. A good way to showcase all the styles that Lots drivers have. If you stick to just one, you'll limit yourself.

I don't want to get involved in the storm but if Snake presses ahead with his idea, I would stand up to represent LotS.

Ok look how about we just all sit down in a lobby, chill have fun & forget this all ever happened and just have fun. that's what racing is about having fun. i mean sure i can get serious but lets just put the past behind us & prepare yourselves for what happens next. jut don't stress on the past just like a battle, you don't look back.

Words by me :sly:

“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” - Bruce Lee

AND WOAH! Did I just see my own username with just a 98 (TakumiFuji98)?! SMH

Hey y'all. So just letting you guys know that I'll have my net back in up the next day or so.

As for the tournament, here is what I have planned:

8 Drivers (hand-picked by myself, the top talent LotS has to offer)
DOUBLE-ELIMINATION, meaning you have to lose twice to be eliminated.
Time Attack portion for bracket seeding (track will be voted on).

Tracks:
Time Attack - Deep Forest/Trial Mountain/Eiger/OTHER
Round 1 - Mt. Akina
Round 2 - Michi no Eki
Round 3 - Serra da Freita
Round 4 - Puff-Puff Pass (uphill/downhill sector)

Of any drivers signed up are absent at the beginning of the time attack, they will be replaced by whoever happens to be in the lobby at the moment.
Any questions, please feel free to ask me here.

That little bit too much, because I have to start packing for new home soon, working a new job on this Thursday and finish my last races in this LotS season 11 (only if I'm online). And then after that I am retire races due my newborn son will be home in this sept. Also I have to finish GT Kaido Motorsport movie projects in this month. So my online schedule are gettin pretty tight but I will return the races on GT6 in next year... hopefully LotS still alive too.

What are the PP regulations for this tournament?

2 long battles, I finished winning, mostly due to course knowledge and able to keep a good rithm, although CG cars are faster than my Sti and AP1. In another track I wouldn't be this happy right now. Ive won passing in the to races, due to little mistakes. It had to be this way, couldn't pull any gap when leading, so had to wait for my chance to.make a moove ;)

What are the PP regulations for this tournament?

Ideally, I would want it to feature the "Purist Class."
That's 460PP-CS.

And seeing as Niko is preemptively backing out, until further notice, I also want to give the drivers ample time to tube a car for battle.

I've actually been wanting to do this tournament for some time now, I've even posted about it on my GT5 comment feed. My original intention was to run it as a Purist Tournament as am incentive for people to adopt the new regulations.

But, if enough of you are against the idea, then I'm willing to do it in class B or A regulations.

No problem. After all, GT is only a game and real life comes first.

I just got a great idea. Hear me out and voice your opinion.

My idea is for the tournament to be run as an official LotS event, by special invitation only.
What this would mean is at the end of Core Season 11 there is some downtime for a week while we await for the final battle(s) to be ran. During that week the time attack round should also take place. Photographic proof must be presented for all lap tomes if not in the presence of another driver in the tournament to confirm.
Then all times will be locked in and the tournament bracket will be seeded.
The scheduled battles will be posted here and you can do battle on your own time during the week. The bracket will be updated regularly so everyone will always know who their next opponent is.

Of course, the entire tournament can be done with in one lobby in about 3 hours. But, not everyone has that much time to play GT5 at the same time as others may. Therefore, the whole tournament shouldn't last beyond a week to finish all the battles (2n-1 or 2n-2, depending on battle circumstances it can be 14 or 15 total battles).

Slender, what do you think of all this?

Always great fun driving with Kwong, great respectful driver who knows how to maintain his line when being passes and in the other hand, how ferocious he can be defending his position. Looking forward to rematch next week on Alibaba, mate ;)

Other than pp and tires, will there be any other restrictions for the tournament?

Nope. There aren't any displacement or drivetrain restrictions.

By the way, I have my net back so I'll be online for battling all day today. I'm out having a pleasant smoke with some buds.

Confirmed. My attack a few rounds earlier very nearly worked if I hadn't ran wide on the second-to-last corner
