Most stats were grabbed from here. Some are rough estimates as they don't have the specs for the cars. Just search up the car you are looking for say "Nissan Silvia" and the stats from each Silvia in the series will pop up. Minus the S14, as the stats are a rough estimate.

As you know, it's basically common sense what speed transmission most had, but this is posted in case anyone decides to try to get funny with them.

Old and new devil z meet

I think it's time that something league related happened.......

There are plenty of guys out there running their own competitions. Corn is doing an Initial D themed event.

I understand that LOTS was born as an I.D. based league, but I'm of the opinion that I shouldn't be limited to that selection of vehicles. Being as I got into the touge scene without having even know about the anime.

I've been thinking of forming my own little thing, but I have no interest anymore on hosting serious competitions. Some people take the fun out of it by taking it a tad bit too seriously.

I'm all for healthy competition, but I'll be staying casual as I try and better myself.

How about the return of the hot version tuning competition?

How about the return of the hot version tuning competition?

:dopey: Now THAT I can get behind! I really like that idea, so forgive my enthusiasm.

-----

When MatMed did it before, there were a bunch of test drivers, and multiple entries in each drive train category. It was a very time-consuming project, since there were so many participants.

-----

What do you think about a group/team/crew-oriented event? Teams of 1-4 tuners work on one car (we could limit it to 1 or 2 cars per drive train for the sake of efficiency). We'll need 3-4 dedicated test drivers (you can't test a car your worked on, conflict of interest).

It could be LOTS-exclusive or open to all of GTP.

What does everyone else think about this?

Since sharing was removed, participants will have to post their tunes on here, or the thread for the comp. if it's decided to be separate. Tuning crews sound really interesting, and we could use the real version's regulations (horsepower and displacement restrictions, no racing parts/ full on weight reduction, street radials). Scores being based on driving feel rather than times, and stuff like that. Maybe even bring in the My Tuner Car challenge as a little side thing in between comps.

Yes, definitely use the real show's regulations.

If we make a dedicated thread, it'll have to be in the tuning forums. I don't know if we want that sort of attention... But maybe we do.

Honestly, there should be a screening process for entrants. Let's say we have 2 cars per drive train, anyone wanting to sign up must have a crew assembled and respective positions/responsibilities already sorted. First come, first serve... Didn't make it into this month's episode, yet next month lol.

We could put the episodes up on YouTube. Could be really fun and cool.

-----

What say you? I'm down to help organize this with you.

I'm in, I've been wanting to do this for months.

To sort out the details... Wanna do this via PM or in-game?

I've gotten a new work schedule, so I'm off on Thu-Sat. Meaning I'll be online a bit more during this time.

To be honest I may not even do the event. Sure I'm on a lot, but with school I don't have the time to organize it properly.

No worries. From what we've been delegating, the first episode will most likely be a limited entry. The idea of invite-only hasn't been ruled out...

But if you were to participate as a tuner, all you word have to do is tune a car before the submission deadline. Judges will do all the driving.

Looks like I'll finally be getting the dreaded ylod fixed as I just said farewell to my ps3! Hope to be on in the next couple weeks!

Thing is; I inputted most of that stuff for the specs of the cars which was originally from Wikipedia (I edit there). I couldn't go full detail on the specs, because of either limited visually of when the parts are shown physically moving (like when Takumi's front coilovers are shown, internals of the 4A-G, etc.) That's besides the point though.

And yes, we need some tuning competition but I don't think I would want my part in that HV stuff after that cheesy editing I did (which I feel bad of course).

Good news everyone! (Dr. Farnsworth voice) I will get my ps3 back on Monday so I'll be back online 24/7 after having some serious withdrawals from not being able to play since October, hopefully just in time for course creator to come out! :gtpflag::cheers::embarrassed:
