Took me the exact length of the first two movies to build the Back to the Future set. Went with the Part 2 version. Made sense considering the included Minifigures anyways.

31160 on the left, Airfix Easy Build Bf 109 on the right. The Lego was £13, very clear instructions but a longer build with more pieces, the Airfix was £15 and went together much more easily because it was literally a handful of pieces but the instructions were not as good - it's basically a polybag build with bigger pieces. It's hard to tell from the photo but the fuselage and wingspan is about one stud bigger on the Airfix model.

I do like the Airfix model because it's a more accurate representation of a real thing but I prefer the Lego model, even if this particular one is somewhat lacking in character, but it's a lot bigger than I thought it would be considering the fuselage is 3 studs wide and it was only £13. It's way better and cheaper than the £18 31126 Supersonic Jet though.

I built this one right before new year.

Finished this one last week.

I'm going to be busy the next little while as I just got the 1:5 Ducati, and pre-ordered all the F1 sets. I also just ordered the brand new CaDA Sauber F1 car. The thing looks amazing. Over 2500 pieces, and supposedly all printed and no stickers.

I built me Lego Bonsai Tree today - it's a really beautiful and original model. I took it into my work because there's a nice big desk area where I could build it comfortably, and it took about 2 hours.

I also got the McLaren F1 for my birthday from my family, and my mates gave me the Lego Technic Ford GT, which looks fantastic. I will probably build those two at home so I don't have to carry them home assembled.

Its funny how they use pink frogs on the cherry tree version as flower buds.

He only has around half of the 10,000 supporters he needs for Lego to make this a retail product. If he can find the remainder in six months they'll release it to the public.
It’s a shame too, because Lego could have a new line of synths and musical equipment, I’m thinking 808, MIDI PC 3000 etc.

Music production and musical history fans would love them.

Lego have made some good Creator 3 in 1 polybags (sorry, they're now called "recruitment bags" shudder) in the past but this isn't one of them, in my opinion, it just isn't very monster trucky, more like a monster coupe/roadster.

Got these two at the same time, I love the mech! My son's got a couple of City Space ships, the mining mech and the space bike thing so it'll go well with them. The jetski is just to give him something that could easily be turned into a plane, really, the first thing he did when I gave him the assembled Jungle Explorer helicopter was take two of the rotor blades off and attach them underneath the fan boat to make a plane, so... Yeah.

I've got something a little more special on its way to me, the first big set (albeit incomplete) I've bought in some time. For me, I mean. Looking forward to finding out just how incomplete it is.

I finally bricklink'd the Darth Maul set as I don't want to pay $3k for basically the box in awful condition. It's the only UCS set I'm missing (I've upgraded to applicable new UCS versions to save space: Falcon, Imperial Shuttle, etc) and my order has already missed 3 parts >_< But, I'm about 1/3 done and I'll continue it when the missing parts arrive:

No football today :( So...I'm just over half way done with the Darth Maul. The instructions are the 2nd worst I've ever seen. The worst being someone who put together plans for a white Starfox Arwing against a white background. At any rate, this is awful because each step is only from the top-down perspective. I had to re-do some pages because I was grabbing bricks instead of plates 🙄 Still a cool build though, I'll be glad when I'm done.

Finally got round to building my McLaren MP4/4 Senna model today. I took it into work, and I was about half an hour into in when my workmate Ankita came in. She spent about an hour working, then she came through to watch me build the model, which took another hour and a half, so three hours in total, half of which spent with someone literally watching my over move - it made the stickers a bit more stressful, but I was amazed at how much she enjoyed watching me build the model, and it turned out great! All I need to do now is figure out how I'm going to get it home!

Depending on how you opened the box (preferably by the end panel), if you fold down the rear Gurney wing flap, it should fit fairly snuggly into the box. I have mine temporarily stored like that until I find a proper space to display it. You won't be able to fit the instruction booklet in there though, and as a disclaimer, I can't guarantee the built model will remain intact after your journey home.

As much as I'm not a fan of Lego cars generally, I found this one at a great price (second hand, of course) and couldn't resist. The box is much bigger than I expected! I thought it was a 250-300-ish piece set, not 600+.

Post-piece count edit: two pieces missing, one 1x2 grill tile thing and one round 1x1 plate with hole, yet it came with all the expected spare pieces which is unusual. Considering I paid £26 including postage for it with the box and instructions that's not bad at all. The next cheapest I can find on eBay is £10 more and there aren't any UK sellers on Bricklink.

The manual also features this ad, I had no idea these sets combined like this and I'm here for it:
