i fancy a go this season sign me up

also spa sounds good as a season ender, if the host has it

Everyone has to have the DLC, to run it. :/

No you don't. I race in open lobbys with Spa all the time and I don't have the DLC.

That changed with 2.02. Unless you purchased the DLC it won't work in an online lobby anymore.

Ps, I don't have it yet either...and since I just dropped $2600 on a new water pump for the house, I think I'll be cutting back on expenses for a little while.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu pd, oh well it was always on my shortlist, if i dont have to buy a new motherboard for my dead computer then i have no more excuses

happy new year, pathetic humans

i think i've decided which car i will use...and i'm excited about it...only thing i'm worried about is tire wear and pit stop strategies

i found it while car-searching for last season, but it was 1pp over the limit, so it's great for this season...i can even use a performance upgrade to bring it exactly to 350pp, not just the window weight reduction

are we obliged to use the same car for the season as for the preseason race on wednesday, or are we allowed to switch?

and how long are the races planned for this season, based on the listed number of laps? for example, 50 laps at gve-r should take about 75 minutes?

on another note,

i was racing yesterday with my cousin on eiger nordwand rally course (w, g, k trails)

we were using lemons-like cars, it made me imagine what fun it might be to throw on some dirt tires for one of the seasonal races

see you on the track in a couple of days! watch out, i'm still unpredictable, but i'm working on it :)

Lemon located.

Just to be perfectly clear on teh rulez... After purchasing it from the UCD, I apply engine and chassis restoration, THEN use modifications (of ONLY weight reduction or power mods) to bring it up to 350pp?

My car is currently at 346pp (after full restoration), and I want to make sure I'm doing this right before I buy anything.

1:28.010 at gve-r

i wonder how many others will be driving the same lemon

perhaps dudeondacouch is talking about the same one as i

You've got it!

Yes, you can switch vehicles after preseason, which is why the due date is the 9th. That gives you more time. As race length, I think 75 minutes is perfect, because I feel an hour would limit to one pit. With the new tire wear, it should be good fun. That okay with everyone?

Well then, I'm just gonna have to use something different for the preseason race so that it'll be a surprise. :sly:

You guys.

You kids aren't even prepared for what I'm bringing.

EDIT: WTF. Iphone autotext.

Wish i could use a car that i've actually owned, but even though a few are in the game, they all have too high PP. :(

got me a car too, wish i could find something older and more unique that is still competitive but im happy with what i have, i will just paint it like a skittle

Pushing pretty hard to get mid 1'28s on GVEr. :nervous:

Hopefully this car will end up being competitive because it's actually pretty fun to drive.

I may have missed this in the thread, but you may want to add a rule against using ballast.

It could easily be used to sneak in a car that should be over the PP, and then dump all the extra weight at no cost.

Is it not in there? I thought I put it in there.

Weight reduction? I did not know this. @ 349PP now so may be moot anyway.

Most likely you won't be able to squeeze in the windows, this pp level is just a tad to low too make it a 1pp upgrade. Unless it's the volvo wagon. I have one if anyone is interested in running it!

I'm thinking of running it in the practice race. :sly:

Although... to be fair, PD DID mess up the weight of the 240GL. It should be several hundred kg less. ;)

Maybe PD was looking at its gross weight which Volvo says is 1950 kg; they say it weighs 1890 kg.

I could hit 1:27.0xx during testing for last season at 345pp. That was in an online lounge after about 2-3 laps in the EXA Canopy. I could run high 1:27s in about 4 cars and the rest were 1:28-1:29 due to gearing and/or lack of power.

A 1:26 has got to be possible with 5 extra pp and additional vehicle options. I haven't spent any time looking for cars yet. I'll check a few of my 346-350 cars that didn't made the grade last season before we race tonight and if I don't find anything worthwhile, I'll run one of my top choices from last season with an additional bolt-on.

I have a 349pp EXA. Haven't run it yet, but I might give it a go.

Would also love to try the Bellett 1600 GT-R '69, but after a refresh, it comes in at 351pp. :(
