This idea sounds amazing. I hope someone would compile a list of tracks and laps for each event... (cuz I`m lazy)

... how do you do this in single player mode? I only see the option to limit to a single manufacturer, or do you mean selecting opponents via ad hoc races?

That's actually the option I mean. Result is mostly the same though.

As much as I don't care about career mode, it is a nice addition.
Add 24 Hours of Le Mans lol.

Gotcha. Yes, it works well enough, although I wish there were more filtering options. It would be great to have a 4wd only race, or compact only, or an all-Japan shootout, etc. It's a little annoying, for example, to take a '69 Camaro out to Seattle (American muscle car series) and have an 80's Lotus show up just because it has similar overall performance points.

It's no big deal really - still an amazing game and I'm having a great time with it.

Dont worry about price cars.in gt4 you had to win but in gtpsp all of them can be bought

but you cant get prize cars the whole point for those racing event is to win cars
