Can someone help me here? I've installed RainMeter but none of the themes I download will work. None of them are the correct file type, they're always just a folder full of sub-folders with nothing in them. How the hell do I find skins that I can just load up and get working?!

Right click the rainmeter symbol in the system tray, bottom right, of your desktop. Then go to the "skin" you'd like and load it up. They all have different ways of setting them up once they are on your screen. Once you have the skin on your desktop right click on it and click edit. It should bring up a notepad file and usually they have instructions listed at the top of that notepad file. If not ask here.

First though you did unzip the files and put them in the rainmeter folder usually found in documents?

Thanks for the help, I've got it working now. For some reason moving the themes to the folder doesn't work but most of them load up by just double clicking them anyway. 👍

Where did you get those logos from? I like to do all mine in colour like that but cant find them. I changed a couple but I made them myself but I have no talent for that.

Believe it or not, this is actually just Windows 7 with a CustoPack. Unfortunately I don't own a Mac so this is the closest I could get.

Unfortunately??? I've wanted to own a Mac for a few years. Finally bought one, and I hate it. Too heavy, hardware is weak, fan is loud and useless. It has it's positives for sure, Mac OSX, video editing is fantastic. But, for the money, you'd be better off getting something much cheaper I think.

I've been trying to find a desktop setup (background, Rainmeter, etc.) for a fairly long time now and haven't been successful. Here's my temporary setup, which I like enough not to immediately want to replace:

Yep, rocking the Simple Media, like everyone else. I have a LOT of Rainmeter skins installed on my computer (notice the Enigma recycle bin in the top left), but I haven't been able to find a setup that I like, mainly because I can't find a background that I'm really satisfied with. :indiff: I even tried installing Windows 7 skins that made it look very different, and even small things like changing the mouse cursor. Not a single skin wanted to work with my laptop and the cursors (even the really clean/well done ones) got old very quickly, so it's back to bone stock for me.

Small Update:

New dock, icons, windows theme, slightly different wallpaper, new cursor, and I edited the bar a little bit.
