Well, I have what's called Litestep installed. Basically, it replaces MS explorer (ie., the GUI). It allows you to do quite a bit of customization and what's not. You may notice that the start button isn't actually there. That little black dot on the left hand site actually allows me to get to four different locations (CD Drive, HD

You can disable / Enable desktop icons in the theme file.
