I posted my work wallpaper with Gir eating waffles - well, now from the high brow end comes my home laptop wallpaper.

This a Turner painting, The Fighting Temeraire. Anyone who's seen the Burning of the Houses of Parliament paintings will know of him.

Yeah, when I was running Windows 98se I couldn't run a cool active desktop either. I usually just used solid black. I think it became fairly stable after I ran all the updates from Microsoft.

It's rock solid in a fully updated Windows 2000 and Windows XP environment though. And mighty quick too.

Im runnin Win98SE. My desktop has no pics. It's just a black background and has only 3 icons on it. "My Computer" "Recylce Bin" and "Network Neighborhood". Although i've renamed those desktop images and icons eat up vid ram and slow down the puter, just like TSR's (only not as much). But i'm a harcore PC gamer, so i like every ounce of performance i can get. Especially since i use 4xFSAA. i can't stand all those jaggies.

vat man, where do you get high resolution jpgs of art like that? i found some ansel adams sites, but they aren't high resolution...
