I posted my work wallpaper with Gir eating waffles - well, now from the high brow end comes my home laptop wallpaper.

This a Turner painting, The Fighting Temeraire. Anyone who's seen the Burning of the Houses of Parliament paintings will know of him.

Yeah, when I was running Windows 98se I couldn't run a cool active desktop either. I usually just used solid black. I think it became fairly stable after I ran all the updates from Microsoft.

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com (click on Product Updates).

It's rock solid in a fully updated Windows 2000 and Windows XP environment though. And mighty quick too.

I think it's cool that you're using a non-auto image, unlike EVERYONE ELSE HERE. (:

Im runnin Win98SE. My desktop has no pics. It's just a black background and has only 3 icons on it. "My Computer" "Recylce Bin" and "Network Neighborhood". Although i've renamed those :D desktop images and icons eat up vid ram and slow down the puter, just like TSR's (only not as much). But i'm a harcore PC gamer, so i like every ounce of performance i can get. Especially since i use 4xFSAA. i can't stand all those jaggies.
