Lewis Hamilton DLC challenge is almost impossible with controller

Agree with Willow being ridiculously difficult.

I'm a controller user, and clearly these diamond times were not made for even the "good" level controller users but to the "exceptional" ones.

The C9 on Nurburgring was surprisingly not that difficult. Got gold on first try and only took a few more until I did Diamond. The others? All of them I struggled to get Gold. Panorama for me just sucks... I hate that track, I'm still at Silver in that one. Maybe it's because I love to drive the Sauber C9 and don't particularly like to drive the AMG GT3, also this AMG GT3 seems different than the stock one you play in the game, it seems like it has a bit more understeer, maybe it's just me?

I think Bathurst is a special track like the Nordschleife where experience is more important than actual skill. Once you know the corners and have the rhythm sorted (all the way from The Cutting to Forrest's Elbow is about getting the flow right and setting yourself up for the following corner) it's fairly easy, the first lap I finished was a platinum whereas tracks like Suzuka and Willow Springs took hours.

Another trick for Bathurst is to run the BB to the rear for the flat/uphill sections then move it to neutral for the extra stability going down the mountain.

I'm an A/B player with a standard DS4 controller. After struggling a lot I finally got all Golds + diamond in Monza. Monza, Dragon Trail and Maggiore are the easiest and took around 1 hour, but all the others have been a pain in the ass, requiring 4-5 hours per track and even more for Mount Panorama, Suzuka and Nurb. Anyway it's a nice challange, but almost impossibile for me to get diamond on all tracks (except Monza), I may just try Dragon Trail

Finally did Diamond on Monza and Gold on Panorama. So basically, all of them are golded.

So far:

Diamond: Nurburgring Nordschleife + Monza

Very close to Diamond: Dragon Trail + Willow + Interlagos.

Still quite behind Diamond: Brands Hatch + Maggiore + Nurburgring GP

Way off Diamond: Suzuka + Panorama

While it looks very close to Diamond time in Willow (off by 2 tenths), I'm absolutely struggling to find more time. I wasted a single afternoon on Willow to no avail. I was off by 2 tenths very early in the run and in the next few hours I couldn't even come close to MY OWN time.

Suzuka and Panorama really look impossible. I may as well give up on Panorama, seriously... I really appraise everyone who was able to get gold on all of these tracks using the Dualshock 4. It shows you had commitment and are really good in this game.
But to those who did all of them Diamond with the DS4? You guys are absolute legends.


Why the hell are these challenges not done using the Mercedes W08? Or heck even the Sauber C9??? Hamilton on Nurbrgring was really afraid to go full throttle early after exiting a turn and it was really noticeable, this was probably the reason why Nordschleife looked easier, and not because I was better at hitting apexes or braking points.


Still, this DLC was worth every penny. You're against a multiple F1 world champion using a wheel and it makes you want to commit to beat him.
I would've been pissed if this was the type of challenge you could get the best times after 1 or 2 tries like in 90% of Gran Turismo 6... Hopefully GT7 has challenges like this... BUT not THIS hard (I still want the platinum trophy after all xD).
