I thought it was broken, the same as on the Infiniti. Never used it on that car either.

It should be complimentary to the engine rather than manually activated in my opinion...that way I'll stop forgetting it.

Yesterday when I was looking for alternative cars for the Trial Mountain seasonal I saw that the Fisker Karma Ecosport also has a similar KERS system.

(not my screenshot or photo, something I quickly Googled)

Had a quick go on the 3 vision TT's last night, and the Lexus is by far the nicest one 👍

Lol, really the first of VGT's I actually consider to be worth driving more than 10 laps, interesting to see how much I can improve now that I know you can use the kers system from NOS button  god dam I probably did nearly 200km yesterday and after that @Growling informed me that there's an actual button to use kers :banghead:

As with the Nissan 2020 and the Infiniti. It is on all the time, it just boosts more when you hit the Nitro button. It will deplete even if you don't, but it depends on the track how quickly.

🤬 pointless cars. Handles horrible, understeers like a heavy shopping cart.

Understeer? You're driving it wrong!

This car has plenty of entry rotation if you trail brake and even more if you deliberately induce brake off oversteer :)

Once it's turned in, it's oversteer all the way.

LOOOL @ODB you must have had the fastest non kers time for sure.

I agree! I found the KERS button after a few laps, but it still took me a good while to get past @ODB ghost line

Heheh, well kers helped just a "bit" and managed 1.29.385 :dopey: restarting because of the kers was quite annoying, so I think it was only good that I did that yesterdays stint without restarting all the time, also trying to catch @Growling without kers helped to figure some driving lines out  naah, still some time left on the track, only problem is, is that this track has been designed thinking only ways to make the drivers life more complicated and miserable :banghead:  especially that last set of corners, god damn after something like 400km I have no idea how to drive there, just trying to keep the pace up somehow :scared: :scared:

Thank you for telling me about a missed opportunity with the Nissan too.:P

Damned new fangled gadgets...

.........Had no probs with this TT - I used to pound Fuji in Red Bull X for figuratively million laps so even with a unfamiliar oversteery pseudo racer, I hooked it up on the second lap, and got gold. Then I saw it had KERS....ah well. I'll come back with the time later (I did the download & TTs around 01:30 in the morning, so I don't really remember my times...sorry!)

Did a 1:32, came here... discovered the KERS conversations... got excited for the additional lap time to be found. 1:33's for the 30 minutes.

I am certainly doing it wrong

Did some laps on this, and managed a 1:30.744 for 323rd as of right now, correcting all my mistakes and giving the kers a better use can give me a low-mid 30.

it's surprizing to read that some of you did not know about the K.E.R.S. when i posted it as the 5th post in this topic.
Anyway, i had a discussion once about that KERS and that i did not notice anything.
I was so wrong.
With the Nissan VGT and now with ths Lexus VGT, Kers only helps with acceleration, not with topspeed, but you hit topspeed faster.
Even when you think it does nothing, it does, only problem is, while driving you need to push that extra button.
(ds3 users hint: change nitro to L1 or R1, O is just wierd(stock setting on gamepad))

You could also use a toothpick to hold that nitro button ;)

Checking the button config is the first thing I do in any racing game, I need to make sure both sticks are available for steering/gas/brake and then setting nitro/boost to R1 and Handbrake to R2.

I bought 'Superstars V8 Next Challenge' (cheaply) because it looked like fun, sadly it only went in the PS3 the one time because it did not allow mapping of the gas/brake to the right stick, and I just cannot do those so well on the triggers. :indiff: I should really dig it out again and try it with the DFGT. 💡

Using the KERS at T1-2, T6-9, and T16 works for me. 1:31.436 for now, but that is from only a short session yesterday just after the TT went live, I will revisit this over the weekend.

Just did a 1:32.475 with a DS3/ no assists (ABS: 1); good enough for 4,096th worldwide at the time of this post. 👍

Fun car, if only I had realized that the car had KERS the first time I did the event...

Did a 1.32 on my first lap so i decided to give this combo a closer look.
Another VGT-Car with strange driving behaviour but if you accept this and adapt your driving style you´re getting faster.

My time after 2 sessions 1.28,797 (9th) and 3rd not from Japan :D
