Lightweight K-Cup Lake Maggiore Tips and Tricks?

S660 tuned to 400pp without any weight reduction, emphasis on HP, maximum ride height allowed, longer gear setting and you can win - you will overtake the lead lap 5 or 6. Its importand to set traction control to 0 if you are using it, since it really slows you down (in maggiore about 2 seconds or so, 14 seconds in total). Normal difficulty.
edit: you can check the @praiano63 tune for the Honda and work from there https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/praianos-tunes-settings-for-gt7.404868/page-68#post-13711173
Out of curiosity driven that event with TCS 3 to make it a valid experiment:
Taking the downhill left very close seemed to be faster, and taking the long left after the starting line very steady and wide, no TCS losses this way.
If TCS is bothering you, then it just says you could find a better line ;D

Of course I could find a better line, or practice with the TC at 3, or tune the car better, or get good in general, but since disabling the TC got me significantly faster time without any added difficulty I still think is a valid advice.

In the end it just is a matter of practice, one way or the other and none of them is inherently better or worse. :)

Exactly but since the question here was how to win the race and replying “just practice”, although correct, wouldn’t be much help I offered what I did that worked, assuming that the person asking was closer to my level than someone seasoned or better driver.

Copy-paste my response from another thread:

I used the cappuccino and there are a couple of tips:
1. Make an SUV out of it- max the ride height, that should give you a bunch of pp to play around with. You can lower other suspension values as well to get more pp
2. I shouldn't have done any weight reduction so I went with +200kg. That allows you to get more hp
3. Last 2 races you need top speed so take off all the downforce
4. First 2 races, make the transmission as short as possible, Tokyo you need to make it longer
5. MOST IMPORTANT TIP: you MUST set traction control to 0. Having any traction control, even 1, will completely kill your acceleration.

This makes the menu a breeze
The TCS thing was the key for me. I didn’t change the settings for transmission at all for any of the race (although I managed 2nd on the Willow Springs Race with TCS at 4 even though I drove pretty poorly). I used the settings in this video.

Pretty sure I used the Copen, with the base level upgrades other than weight reduction 1, and the mid-range turbo, it should get you to around 395PP. From there it was pretty easy.
👆🏽 Literally this. I think I did full stage 3 weight, low rpm turbo, race intercooler/exhaust/filter/manifold, CS tires and it came out to 395 as well. As far as the race goes, don’t lift off throttle until final hairpin. Left foot brake the rest when needed. Also draft like it’s your job.

Used the Cappuccino, had already given it the works (every tuning shop part) and just brought it down to 400pp with 180kph top speed on the gearbox, found it pretty easy as it's well optimized for handling and getting out of the corners well

Try these settings. These also work for the K-Cup Endurance, single pit after 34-35 minutes. Keep in mind the widebody as well.
Thank you for sharing these settings! It was ver helpful for the Key Cup Race. I did a couple of tweaks to get the final result. I am driving with the beginner settings btw!

Tuned the beat to 100hp, gently threw it into the turn before the straight, sliding sideways, gently threw it into the turn at the end of that straight. Other than doing sliding it in those two turns i just raced, I kept getting 6th before. I passed the last guy on probably the second or third last turn on the final lap.

Turning TCS to 0 made the difference for me.
Lose race, upgrade parts, lose race, upgrade parts, lose race upgrade parts, eventually after probably a dozen attempts, I got to 400PP, and finished first, 1.5 seconds ahead.

Then the game crashed before giving me the win & the payout.

Won the K-Cup + the Human Comedy Endurance mission with this:

The events were a formality. I don't use TCS.
