List of Cars with Incorrectly Modelled Transmissions

That means since we know PD isn't modeling "external overdrive" as that basically is, then the car shouldn't be in the game. Now, I'll have to test out the car with stock trans and see what happens!

I used the settings from the street version here and if you set the final to 4.250, top speed to 174mph/280km you can get the ratios shown (0.865, 0.705 5th/6th). This allows you to maintain roughly the same transmission ratios, while having adjustable final drive. Which should be in drivetrain, because more often than not a ring/ pinion will be changed before the whole transmission!

It looks like fitting the close ratio five speed is the best way to correct the F40. It's still not quite right, but is a definite improvement, and along with those other mods gives you a very close to accurate Euro-spec car.

The Lexus IS-F is supposed to have a 8-speed auto (it did in GT5), but it acts like an 8-speed DCT.

The problem with GT5's version is that it didn't rev-match on downshifts and it had excessively 'slushy' shifts AFAI remember compared to real life. (Edit: Decided to YouTube bits of 5 and compare to 6 as I'd nothing better to do.)

That's why I feel at least one type of transmission 'physics' is missing from GT; the torque converters that blip and aren't quite as fast shifting as DCTs. Torque converter lockup is another thing that could be simulated to a higher degree.

On the flip side, the Huayra's single automated clutch transmission behaves like a DCT too. Shifts, while very quick for a single clutch IRL, are not seamless like they are in GT6. 'Creep' effect is very strong too, perhaps too much so.
