So, I see a handful of people have played my Santa's Helper level. And the highest score is 20. Really?

Um, suggestions would be welcomed.

I am going to mess with some camera angle stuff but I just don't see it helping.

To be honest it only has one issue, time.

I gave it a few goes and almost always I hardly had time to get to the houses with the prezzie, let alone work out which house it goes in and deliver it.

Give the player more time to deliver the presents and it will be a winner, as at the moment rather than being a fun Christmas game, it feels more frustrating.

I thought this might be it. See, as I built the level I know without thought where each one goes, hence my 720 point score I got last night.

I would in all honesty double that time limit, make it a fun (relatively easy) Christmas game and it will work well.

I honestly didn't get a chance to notice the smoke, got killed by a big falling electric beam (that Santa is an evil bugger at times).

Well, I updated it to 25 seconds. It seems to be better. Wallrunner managed 300 something points last night.

And it isn't Santa killing you. You failed and destroyed Christmas.

I really wanted to make it electrified ice (glass) and have Cold Miser and Heat Miser (responsible for the bombs) appear and laugh at you. But then I would risk a huge copyright violation and no one could play the level.

I added (Take Two) to the title to make it clear I had made significant gameplay changes.

While trying to test a new design last night I wanted to use the boxing glove object I got from a user-created level, but it told me that I couldn't use it because the object was moderated. So, it looks as if part of their moderation update is to make it so that you cannot use moderated stuff and end up being moderated yourself.

I like the proactive step this takes to prevent you from being part of a chain of moderated levels due to objects not allowed. It creates a mild frustration up front but prevents a bigger one later.


Also, while I was on I saw that Wallrunner had played a level called Gran Turismo Planet. So, I searched for it and found it.

Before I touch on the level I have to compliment the new search system. Before searching a phrase would just give you every level with any of the words. It still does this, but if any level matches that exact phrase it puts you on that one first. But you still have the ability to find any close matches, so previous functionality is still there, but it still points you to the most relevant hit.

Now, on to this level. From what I can tell it is not done by any member of this site, nor is it related to this site in anyway (Could there be a copyright violation that needs to be addressed?). It was just intended to be a Gran Turismo themed level. Yet, it has three motorcycles and only one car. And the motorcycles just run over bumps and jumps. So he took a GT themed level and made it more like an off road bike racer.

Needless to say it wasn't good.

is it gona come out at the same ''time'' as hour weekly updates too PSN (in about 4-5 hours)

I'm pretty sure there isn't going to be a PSN update on Thursday... it's Christmas after all. Instead I believe they will be posting the entire update today. 👍

Correct. It is today.


But on the topic of when today, it will be available in the PSN Store. BUT, most games that have an in-game store tend to have thier own DLC available a few hours ahead of time. It may even be in there now, I don't know. I know when PAIN has DLC you can get it in-game as soon as it is loaded on the servers, even though the store update isn't up yet. That has sometimes been as early as 8:00AM ET.

I'm really surprised at just how cheap this game is in most places, Amazon have it delivered for just over £20, so I've placed my order there

Well, after a month of no play (I stopped during those annoying server issues), I loaded up LBP. And unless something happens tomorrow, I won't be playing it again.

I joined several different custom levels in hopes of playing with at least 1 other person. I only got one person out of the many maps I joined. I then joined several story levels trying to play with people. Zilch.

I bought this game to play levels with people, not by myself. If it's going to work that I can only play with 1 person out of every 12 maps I try to play, I may just throw this game back on the shelf and go ahead and rent Madden '09.

Since the last update I wanted to see if you found this to be improved any.

Apparently you weren't the only person with this complaint and the updated search features include an option for Busiest levels.

This may be the solution you are looking for as you can just select Busiest and see all the levels with the most people playing in them at that moment, thus increasing your chances of playing randomly with others.

Quick question for you LBPers out there:

We've done just about everything except complete The Bunker, and we can't seem to find 2 switch triggers anywhere:

1) The Shield trigger that is needed in the Skate To Win level (with the ghosts)
2) The Car trigger that is neede in one of the Mags levels (one of the cars you drive is a switch)

We haven't seemed to find them anywhere. Any pointers? Thanks!

You need to do the level creation tutorials. The sporty car that Mags gives you to race the guy who nicked her car takes the Route 77 badge.

ya but the route 77 badge is used at the beginning of the ''lowrider'' level
and i gives you 2 stickers ... but not the car trigger sticker


im trying too find the car sticker too , i got 95% of the game done
im only missing the 4player stuff

Seriously, my sister randomly stuck the Route 77 sticker on the car and bubbles dropped. I didn't think it would work, but it did. We also aced and 100% completed that level too. Those electric traps on the wheel were killer.

The same goes for the great wave picture in the Japanese-themed map with the roller balls. It wasn't obvious at a first glance that I paste three waves and a mountain to trigger it. I'm thankful for my sister who randomly pastes stuff.

Yay, finished the bunker.

I’m having a bunch of trouble finding all of the objects though. I’m only getting a percentage in the high 80s on most levels, but I can’t see anything I’m missing.

Other than exploring, sticker triggers, and multiplayer triggers is there any other way to get prize bubbles? Sounds stupid but I honestly can’t see any other bubbles on a lot of the levels.
