Thank you very much for this research and putting in the time and effort to do all of this testing. This is actually really useful information. 👍

I install EVERY single game I play on the 360.

1. reduces wear and tear on 360
2. reduces chances of scratching disk
3. reduces heat
4. reduces noise
5. reduces some bugs in games
6. reduces load time in most games

You can pick up a "black market" drive for pretty cheap. I just went to a gamestop (I'm up in Canada) and for $20 I picked up an old 20 and shoved it in just for forza (although I had to take it apart to shove it into the xbox). I have all of Disc 1 + 2 + Battlefield 3 Texture pack with 1gb left on the drive. With the extra 3gb of space + a USB I have more than enough for DLC.

I guess anything space intensive will have to go into the ps3 from now on though.

Well I don't want to break AUP, but there are many non-official HDD's available. I went the 'bok bok bok" chicken route and got an official drive and shoved it in. Anything north or the 20gb drive and I would seriously consider buying a non-OEM drive
