Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

Hi, I have a problem with my Logitech G Pro version Ps5 and GT7 steering wheel. When I start playing the steering wheel is very hard, I practically can't turn it. However, as soon as I reduce the "Strength" value of the steering wheel from 7.5 nm to 7.4 nm during the game, it returns to normal softer.
I have "Strengh" set to 7.5 nm on the wheel and "max torque" in game set to 7 mm.
This doesn't happen to me with other games.

Thanks!!

I know it’s been known to affect GT, but I’m not sure about other PS5 games… but if you power on your wheel before powering on the PS5, there is a chance that the game reads the wheel in G29-compatibility mode for whatever reason. This could cause the issues you’re seeing. You can test this by powering on the PS5 before powering on the wheel.

Set the wheelbase torque to max and leave it. Adjust in game to a level that you like. Do not change the wheelbase setting. The reason is that GT7 reads wheel torque 10 at start up, even if you have it set to 7.5. So when you start up it will feel very heavy..7 in game and 11nm on the wheel base. Once you lower the wheelbase from 7.5 to 7.4, you are basically making a much larger change than you realize.

As an example, I will leave the wheel torque on max and adjust in game torque depending on the car, torque 3 for racecars, up to 5 or 6 for roadcars.

Using vanilla AC or Content Manager? And have you changed the setting for the relevant paddle in the OLED settings? You need to change it from its default setting of Clutch, so that it reads as Handbrake.
Vanilla AC, not got around to installing CM. I'll log into G Hub tonight and see if I can change the clutch setting in there before assigning HB in AC. Will report back. Thanks

After almost a month of use, I can easily tell that the RS Hub+RS Wheel is one hell of a rim ! Shift paddles are more responsive (especially when downshifting) than those of the stock wheel. Due to the diameter and design of the wheel, driving sensations and accuracy are noticeably better... driving a GR 1 or GR 2 car in GT/ is now more enjoyable than ever (did not try SF cars yet to know if PD fixed the FFB issue in the last update).

As mentionned in one of my previous messeges my two big regrets are the terrible placement of the two "magnetino" and the fact that buttons could have been more racy.

Anyone else find the Nissan and Bugatti GR1 cars undrivable due to strong wheel oscillation in BOP? I hoped the 1.54 update would fix that but alas it hasn’t.
Recommended setting don’t work on these. Only with FFS at 1, Torque 1 and Dampening at 100 are they drivable at high speed.

Fix! Thank you very much!! :)

Indeed. It's weird because last time we had GR1 (Monza daily race C, 1.53 if I'm not mistaken), wheel oscillation was barely noticeable on these cars. This week, drivig on the striaights of the High Speed Ring is like making a Gin Fizz. 🙃

@LOGI_Rich Hi, am I missing in-game setup or is there any news on GT7 getting "rs-shifter-handbrake" support, handbrake specifically as there is a new time trial rally event which the "aliens" recommending handbrake for?

If no can we/Logitech suggestion future support?

PS. Nice to see you @gamermusle youtube "SimRacing Expo 2024"

I still love my GPRO / Playseat Trophy setup. Thanks again Rich & Team! It's top notch!
FF and TF on GT7 1.54 feels even better balanced to me then before.
More real. Easier to catch slides en make corrections.
It's really beautiful now with the PRO-jection mode in GT7VR on PS5Pro.

@optical10 - Also, if you haven't already done so, you need to update the firmware on the base to the latest version so that it will recognise the handbrake/shifter.
It's already in there - GT7 already supports an analog handbrake axis (you can test by setting the clutch paddles to Handbrake if you don't already have the RS Shifter & Handbrake).
I see, that was the my older firmware thanks guys.

Just to say I had the Pro Pedal clutch modded / moved to handbrake position which doesn't work in GT7 "Connected Steering Controllers" now with the new firmware though setting left paddle to clutch & right paddle to handbrake in G s/w is ok until RS shifter/Clutch is ordered.

@LOGI_Rich don't suppose you know how I could get the modded Clutch pedal to Handbrake to work in GT7?

until RS shifter/Clutch is ordered.
Might be a good time at the moment, since Logitech have a black Friday event running. £20 off. I think that'd be included.
Possibly you may also be able to use a YouTubers discount code to get a little bit extra off as well.

Many thanks , totally forgot about youtubers 👍

Looking at the recent instagram stories of Logitech, I really hope this is a teaser of something big and long awaited to come!

Just spotted on the logitech website - there's £150 off the wheel, £50 off the pedals, and if you buy both (£1150) you get a free shifter (which isn't mentioned anywhere on the site I can see) thrown into the basket as well..
