Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

My current settings are almost the same as recommended here: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/8358055253271-In-Game-Settings-for-Pro-Wheels

Except I have:

Force Feedback Max Torque - 4
Force Feedback Sensitivity - 10

These were the recommended settings at some point in the past. They must have been updated and I didn't see.

Will try changing them to 10 and 1 respectively.

@LOGI_Rich Any adjustments required for GT7 1.55 update? Is it really correct that the recommended FF Sensitivity setting went from 10 down to 1? When did that happen? Why? Would love to understand the settings a bit more.
I'm not certain the Logitech recommended settings page has been updated since before last summer's physics changes.

How realistic is this though? In real life would the steering feel featherlight at 30mph so that a toddler could turn the wheel? Genuine question. I haven't driven any of these cars in real life
For a real life example, I thought of a simple rental kart. It is light and the engine is on the back side and it has grippy tires. But the wheels are hard to turn both when stationary and while moving.

And the reason it's hard to turn is no power assist steering geometry and grippy tires.

This might help to explain.

He wasn't "wrong", he just wants less torque on the wheel than the higher grip cars will provide.

Force feedback levels are commensurate with the level of mechanical grip any car has. Whether that grip is enhanced with tires, suspension, chassis and steering geometry, kinetic and/or aerodymamic weight, material technology or not, the force feedback is still a result of all of those things effects on mechanical grip, felt through all those aforementioned properties and all are variable at any given time while driving.

I keep these settings for all the cars. I've been slowly ramping up the Brake Force at the pedal, as my left foot gets used to the increased pressure required. That started out at 15.

Like I said in an earlier post, pick a car as close to something you drive IRL, change the in game settings to as closely match what you remember from that and leave it there. Or, just keep fiddling with settings until you like what you feel. That's why all those settings are available.

I've gone through 8 iterations of changes now. Not sure where I might settle on things. Then, there's PD's penchant for changing the game's FFB capabilities.

I did not thought of the power steering. It makes sense. But what about the McLaren MP4/4 ? Did it have assisted power steering at the time?

This illustrates my point exactly. Gokarts and other open wheelers, tend to be heavier to steer than a car with power steering - despite them being lightweight vehicles.

That's why it feels weird to me for power-steering assisted road car like a One77 or late model 911, to have heavier steering than an open-wheeler car made 3 decades ago.

Yeah, that's why the FFB feels too light, you need to use Torque 10 and Sensitivity 1, also, make sure your controller vibration is set to 150 in game and TF Audio is at 100 on the base. 👍

Can someone explain what change necessitated the recommended FF Sensitivity going from one extreme (10) to the other (1). What change did PD make to make this adjustment necessary? @LOGI_Rich - I know there are explanations littered throughout this thread. After the various updates, its hard to know what info is still relevant and what has been mae superfluous due to PD GT7 updates. It would be super useful to have your expert explanations of how the various settings work, summarised in one place. A masterlist, perhaps even on your Logitech recommended settings page so it serves as a single page reference for people, going forward.

When you highlight a setting in GT7 take note of the help text - it does explain what it does. I've never recommended having the FFB Sensitivity at anything other than 1 for Pro Wheel, by the way. For our settings, those are explained at the top of the game settings page.

Due to the fact that FFB does change on a per car basis in GT7 these days, it probably is worth us updating the settings page to reflect that - I'll add it to the job list.
 
I must confess that the courtesy and professionalism of LOGI_Rich convinced me to purchase the entire GPro package, I have a question, I purchased the products last Friday from Italy, where are they shipped from? Do you think there could be any problems?

Wow on the site they expected 5 to 7 days for delivery, the problem is that I have the 2 momo steering wheels, so I'm thinking of attaching them to my g923 with adhesive tape, so I can at least feel the sensation of holding them:lol:, it took me less time to import my MX5 from Germany.:confused:
 
I feel super happy that I invested in my G Pro gear 2 years ago. I think I waited like 4 days from order placement to delivery in Germany. Racing Adaptor took a week or two longer.

It'd be interesting to understand a bit more about why sim racing gear (not just Logitech but other brands too - Fanatec et al) seem to be struggling with supply chain, logistics and order fulfilment.

Is it due to exploding interest in sim racing and growth of the segment that is faster than what was expected and planned for?
Are there some specific technologies or components being used that are bottlenecking the manufacturing process?

Thinking about getting the round Momo wheel. Anybody here have it? How does the material compare to the G Pro wheel?

Which Momo wheel? I have the 320 round one. It’s beefier and more ergonomic. The paddles are harder to reach, but a better wheel overall. Materials are a suede instead of pleather that Logitech uses on their round wheel.

The 290mm track wheel uses the same suede. I don’t have it to compare unfortunately.

I’ve had the 290 and 320 for two weeks.

I am agree with @tinyman392

Although the Dshape is an excellent wheel, I have only been using the 320 since then and I think I have done my longest sessions since I started the game.

I don’t think I would go back.

I love these 20 mm more for the diameter and position of the rotatives of the RS hub, especially the right one that I find more practical.

I use it with Sparco RG 3.1 gloves and the grip is excellent.

In general, I find my imputs are more measured, wise, calm.

I will soon test the 290 on the TT challenge of Monza with the F3500 to get an idea.

I always thought it was because it was new for them to sell their stuff directly to clients instead of using stores as the middle man. But even if that was true when i ordered mine (2 years ago, went also poorly) they should have gotten their act together by now.

I re ordered the controller last Friday and the order still hasn't progressed from accepted, I have messaged support two times asking for an update but as yet they have not replied. :confused:

Edit: Well would you believe that 10 minutes after I posted this, I received an email to say it has been shipped, tracking says label created so it hasn't actually shipped yet but at least it should be on it way soon.

I just hope this one doesn't go missing. 🤞🙏
