Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

Which cockpit are you all using with this wheel. Bought a playseat trophy Logitech edition but it's awful. Tried all combinations and adjustment even a lumbar pillow and my lower back is killing me. Will return but need a replacement. Thanks!

I’m using just that and I think it’s ok?
Zero problems with the seat itself - the entire thing is certainly too weak for the wheel though. I feel like it’s all gonna break at some point :D

TR8Pro and it's been solid as a rock! Seat is obviously very personal.

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone here also noticed the following on their wheel + base:

There is a black mark around the metal of both the wheel + the base. I also noticed that after playing, when I disconnect the wheel, the area where they connect to each other smells very mildly of burnt, I don't know how to explain it. I imagine it may be normal because of friction? Everything works fine, but the black mark + smell did make me concerned, so I decided to share and ask about it.
  • Anyone else also have these markings on the wheel/base? Is that normal or should I be concerned?
  • What about the very very mild smell, is that something your setup also produces after a session?
    • To be clear, its not a strong smell and I only smell it when I disconnect the wheel to put it away and I come close
I've been playing with 9NM on GT7 + suggested settings.

PS. The Logitech pro bundle + trophy is really dope, I don't regret the purchase at all.

@LOGI_Rich apologies for the ping, but I imagine you're the most knowledgeable here :nervous:

Yes, this is fine. It'll clean off no problem with some isopropyl alcohol.
Thank you for the response @LOGI_Rich !

Just curious - do you know what the black smudge is or where it comes from? I was trying to think of it but not sure
And the mild "burnt" smell is also normal / no concerns?

tyvm!

Edit: I tried cleaning with isopropyl alcohol but no luck! :{

The other day I noticed the same marks on mine while changing my rims.
I think they were placed in the same place as yours but I didnt smell nothing wrong.

I gave them no importance seeing how easy I could clean those stains.

Thank you for the info Childe, I will give it another go after work, I tried cleaning it just now but no luck - a little bit came off but that's about it 🤔

Out of curiosity, do you happen to know where the mark is from / what causes it?

I dont know, but I assume it has to be something related with metal friction caused by trueforce.
I use Trueforce at 150 (in game vibration), 11 nm on the base and FFB between 4 and 8 depending on the cars.

Edit: I took them off using a cloth with the screen cleaner I use for my laptop.

Everyone still racing? I’ve been having a blast with the wheel. This must mean everyone has their issues solved and sorted which is great!
Still having disconnection issues with mine. Got the PlayStation version hooked through the controller port on the drivehub. Got T-LCM's into the accessory port and will get random disconnections in about 15mins. Got to reset the whole ps5 to get it back connected again. Got the latest beta drivehub firmware and latest G pro firmware. It's doing my head in.

You might be able to get some luck using a powered USB-hub with the T-LCM. It’s not guaranteed though.

@HotKnives I assume that you've tried the obvious troubleshooting step of taking Drivehub out of the equation? Of course you would need to use the clutch paddles on the Pro Wheel for gas/brake in order to do this, but certainly worthwhile to confirm if the issue IS because of Drivehub or not.
