Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

Which cockpit are you all using with this wheel. Bought a playseat trophy Logitech edition but it's awful. Tried all combinations and adjustment even a lumbar pillow and my lower back is killing me. Will return but need a replacement. Thanks!

I’m using just that and I think it’s ok?
Zero problems with the seat itself - the entire thing is certainly too weak for the wheel though. I feel like it’s all gonna break at some point :D

TR8Pro and it's been solid as a rock! Seat is obviously very personal.

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone here also noticed the following on their wheel + base:

There is a black mark around the metal of both the wheel + the base. I also noticed that after playing, when I disconnect the wheel, the area where they connect to each other smells very mildly of burnt, I don't know how to explain it. I imagine it may be normal because of friction? Everything works fine, but the black mark + smell did make me concerned, so I decided to share and ask about it.
  • Anyone else also have these markings on the wheel/base? Is that normal or should I be concerned?
  • What about the very very mild smell, is that something your setup also produces after a session?
    • To be clear, its not a strong smell and I only smell it when I disconnect the wheel to put it away and I come close
I've been playing with 9NM on GT7 + suggested settings.

PS. The Logitech pro bundle + trophy is really dope, I don't regret the purchase at all.

@LOGI_Rich apologies for the ping, but I imagine you're the most knowledgeable here :nervous:

Yes, this is fine. It'll clean off no problem with some isopropyl alcohol.
Thank you for the response @LOGI_Rich !

Just curious - do you know what the black smudge is or where it comes from? I was trying to think of it but not sure
And the mild "burnt" smell is also normal / no concerns?

tyvm!

Edit: I tried cleaning with isopropyl alcohol but no luck! :{

The other day I noticed the same marks on mine while changing my rims.
I think they were placed in the same place as yours but I didnt smell nothing wrong.

I gave them no importance seeing how easy I could clean those stains.

Thank you for the info Childe, I will give it another go after work, I tried cleaning it just now but no luck - a little bit came off but that's about it 🤔

Out of curiosity, do you happen to know where the mark is from / what causes it?

I dont know, but I assume it has to be something related with metal friction caused by trueforce.
I use Trueforce at 150 (in game vibration), 11 nm on the base and FFB between 4 and 8 depending on the cars.

Edit: I took them off using a cloth with the screen cleaner I use for my laptop.

Everyone still racing? I’ve been having a blast with the wheel. This must mean everyone has their issues solved and sorted which is great!
Still having disconnection issues with mine. Got the PlayStation version hooked through the controller port on the drivehub. Got T-LCM's into the accessory port and will get random disconnections in about 15mins. Got to reset the whole ps5 to get it back connected again. Got the latest beta drivehub firmware and latest G pro firmware. It's doing my head in.

You might be able to get some luck using a powered USB-hub with the T-LCM. It’s not guaranteed though.

@HotKnives I assume that you've tried the obvious troubleshooting step of taking Drivehub out of the equation? Of course you would need to use the clutch paddles on the Pro Wheel for gas/brake in order to do this, but certainly worthwhile to confirm if the issue IS because of Drivehub or not.
Hey mate just tried with the clutch paddles (painfully) for the last half hour and no issue with disconnection. Looks like it's the drivehub. Have emailed them but I don't hold hope for a reply.

Why don't you sell the T-LCM pedals and buy Logitech pedals to get rid of Drive Hub?

I'm considering this route to be honest. They're $350usd here in nz so it's another big purchase I wasn't hoping to make considering I've fabricated a specific intricate mount for my new T-LCM's in my rig (which I had to do an internal rewire job to run them inverted), plus I've got the th8a shifter which I do enjoy with the 90s Japanese cars in gt7. With my G pro purchase I got the RS Shifter for free and I'm near the point of defeat with the drivehub and looking to go complete logitech just for compatability. Pretty gutting though after spending so much time and money on gear (it's expensive here in New Zealand).

New issue discovered today since the gt7 update. In online multiplayer lobby if I open a lobby and go to track every thing works fine. Then a friend joins my lobby also on a Logitech pro and when he clicks go to track my truforce turns off, his stays on. The same thing happens when we swap i.e. in his lobby when I joined his truforce stopped working. Almost as if the lobby can't support multiple truforce users. Any suggestions??

@LOGI_Rich Are you aware of the issue above? It's a major pain and have a 24 hour race planned at the weekend. Repeated the exercise several times and very consistent, as soon as the other driver ticks in, my TrueForce dies and vice versa. I can leave and join other lobbies OK, might be just an issue between Pro Wheel users but not sure. Happens when we're hosts or join other's lobby, the first drivers True Force dies when the second Pro Wheel driver joins & ticks in.

Can you confirm if the same thing happens if the other racer isn't using a Trueforce wheel? Also, it's just the TF Audio side of things that goes and you still have force feedback, right?

I've joined a few random lobbies and happens all the time when additional drivers join so don't think it matters what other equipment drivers have. And yes just TrueForce goes, the feedback is fine.

my micro usb cable skin already peer off after few months. anyone know which micro usb to buy can replace it as the head shape wont be an issue to insert?

I replaced it with this brand wich has a very narrow head and it went fine into the socket.
The only issue that I have is a cosmetic one... the thing is white 🤷‍♂️

Hi everyone, Hi @LOGI_Rich , same problem here with truforce. I just updated right now GT7 and Trueforce is gone. Every time I get in a daily race, truforce just disappears.
I get back into the game, adjust the truforce and play alone, truforce works, then I get back into a public lobby or daily race and is off.

Indeed, this wheel is messed up after the update. I can’t say it’s only trueforce thats numb, but thats certainly all but gone. In timetrials, no issues. Once I entered daily B though the wheel was shockingly numb. Kerbs, traction, road surface all gone.
I have no idea if any other driver also had a g pro, but mine was lifeless from the start of the race.
