Logitech Lap Attachment for Driving Force Pro

I have it and I wish that I didn't, sure it sounds like a good idea but it just doesn't work the way it says it does or the way I want it too! I just seems awkward especially if you are a hard core DFP driver. Basically if you are too lazy to sit in a chair with a desk then you should just go with the DS2.

One came with my old Driving Force. I actually thought it worked fairly well except that the wheel was too close for my comfort unless I leaned back really far.

I had that a couple of years ago, after playing 10 mins with GT3 I returned it to Best Buy.
It was terrible trying to fight force feedback with it in your lap.

Lap attachment is useless! Don't buy it. 👎

The lap attachment does not give you a stable platform to steer (with leverage)and is highly uncomfortable.

Bought one, used it for a few minutres and chucked it in the closet. Its still sitting there, original packaging intact, gathering dust

Save your money!

Unless you are a bull rider your legs are going to start burning after a very short time using the lap attachment. 900 degree mode + 100 % force feedback = the thighmaster from hell!

On this subject - I saw a table advertised on TV for $30 US and it looked like the perfect cheap table for mounting your DFP to - does anyone know the name of it?

I have used it with the Driving force. It works okay, but your groin area will start to hurt after like ten minutes. I'd imagine that it would be even worse with the 900 degree DFP.

I have one of those with my DF & i hate it. I felt that it was too chunky. With the wheel not attatched to anything solid i found the force feedback was too strong & it quickly wore my arms out, while playing endurance races on GT3 I had to have a break at least every 30mins as my arms & legs hurt from the force of the force feedback. Now i have it attached to a table & its a lot better.

No way. I'm not putting my DFP in my lap with FF set to strong. I don't reccomend that to anyone. Build a table of some sort. It's much more rewarding. Trust me :D

I use it.

I tried so many things with my DFP. Tables, desks, TV table....nothing worked. For the past 6 months I've used the lap attachment (came with my DF) and it's the best thing I've used. I hated it when I first tried it but got used to it an now it feels perfectly natural.

Plus i have thighs of steel from squeezing!

I want nothing in my Lap while Playing GT4.Well maybe a Beer. :D
Hey!!!! No drinking and driving!! haha, yeah ive had the lap attatchment before its really uncomfortable, especially when you start gettin into a race

Totaly useless if you ask me. Your wheel is moving around as you work the pedals. May need som getting used to it. I tired it for a few minutes and placed it at some safe place.

Hmmm. Wonder where it is now?

i had that on my interact wheel.. and never liked it.. the steering is like "down there" where it shouldn't.. and its not really solid.. takes away the "driver's seat" feel.. hence why i never used it in 4 years hehe.. i just found a table to fit it with the correct chair for height etc.. after 4 years.. in anticipation for gt4..

I wouldn't use it.. steerings are stiff and it sucks when you turn 100 degrees but its actually 20 caus the whole hardware moved 80* under your legs hehehe

I just got my DFP and use it with 100% FF (pumps up your forearm and hand muscles :)). I have it mounted via a keyboard tray that's made of a solid type, hard-wood. With how much force the DFP puts out, I can't imagine it being any fun using the lap attachment. Furthermore, I can only imagine how difficult it will be if you're in 900 degree mode.

In Gran Turismo 3, as it is, when you're moving fast through a turn, the wheel will fight you hard (it's hard enough to think that something might be wrong with the wheel, because it's putting out so much force). Whenever you move over any type of rumblestrip, your steering wheel will break free and loose and it take a lot of back and forth turning to keep the wheel on the racing line (where you turn in. Where you apex. Where your exit point is).

With that said I would suggest getting something desk like, where you can slip your legs under an actual desktop-like surface. And, of course, be able to attach your wheel with its clamps :)
