This thread isn't about the most recent race, since I fear there may already be a thread on it. If that's not the case, then this thread is about the history of racing at Long Beach.
With this year's race, southern California enjoyed beautiful sunshine (what else is new? Cloudy and dull here in Houston today!). One of my favorite tracks in the world is the Long Beach GP because I like street course racing. Where else (in America) can you enjoy palm trees, lovely buildings, and a not too challenging race course? Long Beach is also America's oldest street course with at least 30 years of racing action.
This thread is about Long Beach. Long Beach racing action, celebrity races, F1 there, anything on Long Beach and the legendary race there. It's all about America's version of Monaco.
Funny enough, the contract for this track is up with Champ Car and IRL vying for the bid to race there in 2006. This is also an interesting scenario to discuss here.
