Looking for someone to race? Try this!

New to GTP but long time gt fan, mature clean racer. Up for anything although I am still making the adjustment to the new game. Gamer tag is same as forum name.

Why doesn't everyone just go in the GT5p live chat room on this site that wants to race? Wouldn't that be the easiest way to find people wanting to run some laps with you without having to set a certain time or date?

Why don't GTPLANET Set up room and post the room numbers...so we can all find each other real quickly ? I/m sick of racing with people who just want to crash into you.

I've been lurking around the forums for a while but finally decided to join for participating in clean races. I'm usually online around 16.00 to 20.00 GMT.

Anyway, hello everyone 👍

I would like to see this "monday night Australian racing" stuf continue. Maybe some (premium car) MX5, unmodified at Tsukuba tomorrow? I think 15 people can afford that car easily.

That is exactly what I'm looking for. Nurburgring GP or Norschleife tracks too...

Didn't know this was going on! ><" hehe
If you're from WI, or the Netherlands, or- uh- anywhere hehe, plz add me.
just looking for a causal group of friends to compare stats with and race any event on weekends. ^^

Take care!

Hey all. I'm new to this forum. Is there a way to set up online play by experience? I know that is subjective but it's no fun when you are being smoked or for that matter when you are smoking someone. Nice for them to be somewhat competitive. Haven't really had a chance to go online as the server keeps booting me.

Thanks

There's a thread full of PSN IDs. Don't you think it should be a sticky too? https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=124668

TB
The way I see it, that thread is there so you have a list of those that you could add to your friends list so that when you and they are online you could race.

This thread is here more for organizing races to happen within the next few hours, not the next time you both/all happen to be on at the same time.

I'd actually PM'd Famine on Friday asking if the GT Online Mode thread I've been updating with members PSN ID's should be sticky after it being requested a few times but he's busy doing what he does with the dealerships now he has GT5 and I've not been moved to give him a nudge.

I agree with TB that the thread of PSN ID's I've been maintaining is just to fill up your PS3 friends list with GTPers so you have a "bank" of decent folk to race with when the mood takes you. There should be a separate thread for people to organise specific races and track days at a certain time which is this thread so people shouldn't just post their PSN ID's without referring to a session they want to arrange or join.

With so much happening in the GT5 section at the moment it doesn't take long for a thread to disappear off the first page if there haven't been any posts for a couple of hours so I understand why people have asked for it to be stickied. Once the decision has been made on how the forum will be organised as far as online racing is concerned and if there will be an "Add your PSN ID" thread I'm more than happy for the list of members PSN ID's I've maintained to be copied into it...once I've updated it of course. I originally started the thread to discuss the as yet unknown GT5 online mode so there are a lot of posts that don't relate to members PSN ID's so it isn't necessarily right to sticky it for that purpose.

Cheers

I've created a new Online Racing subforum for now. Frankly, I've only had one opportunity to play the game at home, and I really don't understand how the online features really work yet. As a result, it's not immediately clear to me how to best structure this area of the forum, but we'll work something out over the next few days and weeks as we move towards a more permanent solution.

My name is Andrei and I'm a GT5 addict. I just...wait. Wrong forum. *ahem* Hello peeps. Looking for clean and mature racers to lounge and race with (and occasional hijinks - think TG style). If you fit the bill, add me:

PSN ID = Kaze13

PSN ID = xchristox
What I like: High powered and tuned cars, real racing machines is fine with me every once in a while but preferably tuned cars.. Get your veyrons, ferrari's, lambo's and Skylines out for some fun. When we're done with the supercars, fancy some American classic muscle cars with 300-500 hp?

Rules are simple with me, TC, ASM etc is always OFF. Punishments are set to HIGH.

I have a 120 Mbit glass-fibre upload connection so everything I host should be as smooth as currently possible.

Also, i'll be having GTP in the title of my games from now on!

All SimRacers likes clean and serious racing can add me to the Network 👍
Better with stock cars, withouts serious engine or suspension upgrades.

Have a nice day!

Now that I dont have a lot of time to go far in the game, I was thinking I could start a sort of beginner online racing:

- Mature and clean racers with cars bought from used cars lot.
- Stock cars, oil changed, no mods, tires that are on the car at the moment it is purchased, no tuning at all, all aids off except ABS on 1 :).

My choices:
- Nurburgring Nordschleife with RX-7 (2 laps)
- Tsukuba with Miata 1800 (5 laps)
- Nurburgring GP/D with Integra (4 laps)

I didn't yet tried online racing. So maybe I'm wrong with some details.

Let me know what you think about that. Any suggestions are welcome.

I just got the game a couple days ago and have only played a couple hours so I'm a noob but would love to try out the online stuff.
