Lost my game save!

Well as much as I love this game and all the bugs with it, this is just wrong!
I know the whole lost game save bug has been around since the game's release, but I thought it was fixed in one of the two patches? (I have SU2 for pc)
It hasn't!
My career has been reset, but I still have my cars and money
So this worries me?
If they didn't fix the lag problems in the patch, nor the game save problem. Did they fix anything in the patch?
Don't get me wrong, I still love the game, but why haven't they fixed such a massive problem?
Looks like they won't be fixing this anytime soon

Ok, I kinda understand people not making backups on consoles, but to not make a backup on a PC? I give you a friendly slap. Thats just silly.

Also that bug isnt limited to S2. Quite a few games have corrputed saves. Dragon Age 2 was real bad about that (at least on the PS3).

I made backups from before the patches.
So I'll be resetting after about 40% completion so it's not too bad.
Hmm I really wish they could have at least fixed this.
I guess I trusted the game company too much
But I mostly do quick races anyway now.
I hate having short races, I like things that are at least a half hour long.
I started the career from 40%, it's still fun so that's good. 👍

Sometimes starting over isnt bad at all if you like the game. If I could keep all my tunes and paint, I wouldnt mind to start over.

Yeah but I was two races away from winning the FIA Gt1 championship and getting the SUMO GTR.
That was what I was aiming for.
I'm just happy I still have BMW Z4 so I can still do 20 lap races
I probably won't be doing too much career anymore.

well, you only need to get to level 16 to unlock GT1 again. Then the 6? podiums for the championship. I don't remember it taking long to level up.

Backups are needed even when there's a fix for the game corrupting your saves. It might be the the OS locks up in the middle of game writing to the save. That would also cause corruption.

It's really strange though.
My autolog says I'm level 20, but the game is only allowing me to do Class D.
And then when I look it shows that I have all the events completed that I did. I just can't go back to them.
The strangest thing however, is that if I go on autolog, I can actually do the recommendations so I can do the Gt1 events that way. I can't normally access it though, just through autolog.
Is this how it happened for everyone? Or can I still fix this?
