Holy cow, I forgot all about this thread.

I did get my Season 2 DVD Set on the morning it came out. I think I finished it in 3, 4 days. :D Now, I just gotta wait until October, which is no big deal, since I just finished the Season 2.

I was one of those who ignored the aired episodes(except for the first couple) and waited for the DVDs to come out. Rerun, missed episodes do drive me crazy. With this new broadcast schedule for this season, I might watch it on TV. 👍

I didn't read the entire thread, but lots of interesting discussion here. I didn't like reading about the 5 seasons they hope to go for, plus the movie. :indiff: I was hoping for 3, or 4 seasons.

Me and few other coworkers talk about "Lost" everyday, and just couple days ago, I've come to my best guesstimate on who the "Others" are.......... I think it's pretty good.......... They are scientists who went renegade on their superiors! Due to objectionable experiments or something or rather they were ordered to proceed with, "good" scientists decided to take the project away from the bad guys and hole up in hiding on the island....... :sly:

Hey, it's almost as if you did read all the threads. To sum up my thoughts on the Others: They are beatnick scientists hell-bent on saving the world with their research. Some of their ideas are controversial and their methods even more so. They have no issues with killing a few in order to save the many. Sometimes their experiments go wrong and risk lives, and in some cases have even possibly created near doomsday type threats. As they believe they are working to save the world they will stop at nothing and will let no one stop them. When people come around they work to discover if they are good or bad. Good meaning that they could understand the work that they are tryingto do and see the wisdom of it, while the bad are the ones who would be "short-sighted" and only see the immediate effects of one person being killed.

Agreed - Start a new thread so we (later europeans) don't accidentally read up on season 3 stuff we don't want to read about !...
That brings up a good point.

If I used this thread I would probably rename it Season 3 and then I would also use big colored letters in a post to announce the new season, making it hard to accidentally go too far. I would probably also list what the post number for the start of season 3 is in the first post.

How does that sound?

Alright, has anyone seen the new advertisements for Lost? Ive seen 2 of them, one had each of the castaways saying their prior occupaion (millionaire, conman, doctor, etc.) and then the announcer saying "how will you escape" (or something along those lines). I dont remember the second ad I saw but it had a different feel to it.

I think ABC is playing with our heads too much.

We just has the end of Season 2 in England & my opinion:

I am very annoyed at the bit at the very end, those blokes out in the snow, what the?? I liked the lead up to it, and the twist about how there plain actually came down was very good. The end's of 24 are so much more satisfying. The end's of Lost just make you go "ohh ****" Is locke/Ecko alive? Why did they want Jack/Kate/Soyer, seriously annoying questions. And we now have to wait ages. They better bring it forward like they did with Season 2 (in england), as i must know answers!!

PS, create a season 3 thread. I don't want to read some spoilers by mistake. I new before she even started Michelle Rodriguez was gona snuff it last time, which was really annoying.

Well, since they are splitting the season into two parts thsi year so that we never end up with reruns it is supposed to happen that way. The first part is six episodes starting next week and they promise they will end the cliffhanger within these six episodes and then starting in January (Feb. maybe?) they continue the season through May non-stop with the next story arc. We are supposed to get answer, but we were supposed to find out what the monster was in season 2, so who knows.

Why were you reading season 2 that far in advance?

I wasn't reading it on here. It was somewhere else, on a thing about Michelle Rodriguez & someone said they hated her character, so glad she's dead now. Everyone had a go at him, what a blumin' plum!

Its never split up, or has re-runs in England. We just have all the episodes consecutively over 22-24 weeks.

Well, then you will get your answers in your first six weeks, supposedly.

I wish the US did TV like that. The only shows that do that over here are 24 and reality TV shows.
