Oh well...

Listen, at least edit your post and put a "spoiler alert" tag on it to avoid further complaining.

?I'm working on the write-up now guys. Everyone shall have the answers to all their questions ? when I get finished.?

OK, so this is later than I promised. Sorry but my wife hijacked the computer and my only option was to sit on the couch like a zombie and watch "My Name is Earl" and "The Office."

SPOILER ALERT!!!

Episode 21: ?
This is an Ekocentric episode.

As usual my personal comments are in blue.

FLASHBACK Miraculous Message/Fraudulent Prophesy

We find Eko working as a priest giving confession to a man. The man talks about committing adultery and Eko tells him to be forgiven he must truly be repentant. The man then tells Eko that he also forged documents for a man pretending to be a priest so that he could go to America. At this Eko steps out of the confessional booth and so does the man. The man hands Eko a passport and tell him that he knows some people in Los Angeles that can help him do some things. Eko asks what kinds of things but they are interrupted by an older priest. The priest informs Eko his trip may have to be postponed as they have a miracle.

The priest introduces Eko to a woman who tells a story of how her daughter drowned but came back to life later. She wants to announce it to the world and tell them of her miracle. The older priest tells her that Eko will look into the situation and investigate the claims, as is Vatican policy. Eko talks to the priest away from the woman and tells him that he cannot do this because he does not believe what the woman is saying. The priest asks him, "Why do you think I chose you?"

Later we see Eko interviewing a medical examiner about the girl's death. The examiner tells Eko that the girl came back to life during the autopsy and then plays the tape recording for him. We can hear the procedure beginning and then screaming from the examiner's assistant and a girl. The medical examiner gives Eko the tape saying that he never wants to hear it again.

Eko then goes to the house of the family whose daughter has been "resurrected" but the mother comes out and tells him that now is not a good time. Then her husband comes out and it is the psychic from Claire's flashback. He tells the mother to go inside and tries to explain to Eko that it was all a misunderstanding. He explains that he runs a fraudulent psychic service where he investigates people's lives and then tells them things about themselves to gain their trust and gives them guidance that helps them believe they have had a miracle. (WTF!? This sounds fishy.) Because his wife is a religious zealot she is trying to get back at him by making this whole miracle story up. His daughter had hypothermia and the medical examiner nearly butchered her. Eko says that he will inform the Vatican of this information and leaves. As he starts to pull away he sees the daughter staring at him through the window.

Later we find Eko preparing to board the Oceanic flight to Los Angeles when the girl who was supposedly resurrected comes up to him and says that she has to talk to him. Eko is angry that she followed him but she presses on. She tells him that when she was "between places" his brother Yemi asked her to tell Eko that he has faith in him. Eko gets upset at her for mentioning his brother and is yelling when Libby walks up and asks if everything is okay.

MAIN STORY Man of Faith/Man of Lost Faith

Eko is chopping wood for building his church when Ana-Lucia walks up and asks what he is doing. Eko explains that the idea of building a church came to him in a dream and Ana says, "A dream like this one?" Then Eko notices that Ana is bleeding. She tells Eko that he needs to help John. Eko then finds himself in the hatch and his brother, Yemi is sitting at the computer. Yemi tells him that Locke has lost his way and needs Eko's help. He explains that Eko must make John show him the question mark. The room begins to shake and Yemi tells Eko that there will be many distractions but he must focus on finding the question mark. The alarm begins sounding and the timer in the hatch begins flipping the red and black tiles again, only these just have question marks on them. Yemi goes to enter the numbers on the keyboard and all the keys just have question marks. After entering the code and silencing the alarm Yemi tells Eko that he needs to bring the axe. Eko wakes up hyperventilating and Charlie rolls over and asks him what's wrong.

Meanwhile Jack, Sawyer, Locke, and Kate are walking through the forest towards the hatch arguing about how Ana got Sawyer's gun and how Locke didn't tell them about Henry trying to kill her. As they arrive Michael stumbles out telling them how he woke up to gun shots and he found some guy had just shot Ana and Libby and then he shot him in the arm and ran out. At this time Eko also arrives and says he will help with Michael. As they go in Kate runs to Ana and Sawyer runs to Libby. Kate realizes that Ana is dead and Sawyer is about to give up on Libby when she begins coughing up blood. Jack rushes to treat her and she begins to go into shock. Michael is lying on the bed and looks over realizing that Libby is still alive to tell who really did the shooting. Jack asks Michael when all this happened and he says possibly 20 or 30 minutes ago. Jack is determined to go find Henry but Sawyer tells him he has to stay and treat Libby. Eko jumps in and offers to go find Henry and asks Locke to go with him and help him track. Jack tells him to be careful and the moment they find a trail they need to come back.

When they go out Eko goes wandering randomly until Locke finally gets worked up enough to ask Eko what he is doing. Eko then asks Locke to take him to the question mark. Locke plays dumb and says he doesn't know what he is talking about, so Eko head butts him, knocking him out. 👍 When Locke wakes up he asks why Eko did that and Eko says it was because he was being difficult. 👍 👍 Locke realizes Eko doesn't know what he is talking about and asks him. Eko admits that he doesn't know but says, "You do know what I am talking about." Locke gives up and shows Eko his hand-drawn map from the blast door and tells him that it is purely from memory. Eko gets excited and begins to head in the direction he thinks that he needs to be going. Locke asks him what is going on and Eko tells him that Ana told him to help Locke find the question mark in dream. Locke looks skeptical and Eko asks him if he has ever followed a dream. (Sounds familiar to me.) As they are walking Eko asks Locke about the lines on the map as they try to decipher what it means and Locke is telling him that he doesn't know anything else. Just then Eko steps on a head from a Virgin Mary statue. When he looks up they are at the crashed Beechcraft. (Everyone keeps dreaming about the plane)
Eko asks how the Beechcraft fell down and Locke explains that Boone was in it and it killed him, a sacrifice the island demanded. (He sounds very skeptical now) Eko tells him that now they must sleep and wait for further instruction. (This guy has some serious faith.)

Back at the hatch Michael asks if Libby has said anything yet. Jack tells him no and then begins wondering where Eko and Locke are. Kate calms him down and asks about Libby. Jack tells her that the bleeding has stopped, but that isn't a good thing. He says that all he can do for her is ease her pain but needs something from Sawyer. Sawyer begins to protest and say he gave him all the medicine when Jack says he wants the heroine. (First the plane and now back to the heroine too?)
Sawyer says he will go get it hen Jack tells Kate to go too. Sawyer starts to argue but Jack is determined. Sawyer starts to give in but Kate asks why when Sawyer tells her it is because the heroine is with the guns and Jack knows that she will be able to find out where they are hidden. Jacks admits to his idea and so Kate goes along with Sawyer. Sawyer leads her back to his tenet where he had buried the guns under where he slept. He explains that no one thought it would be right under their nose like that. On their way back Hurley walks up and asks if they have seen Libby. Kate explains to Hurley what has happened.

While Locke is sleeping Yemi appears before Eko and tells him that he must climb the cliff, to where the plane was. Yemi begins climbing and Eko quickly follows him. As Eko reaches the top Yemi is already there and he is in a wheelchair. He says, "John, wake up." This scares Eko and he loses his grip and falls. Just as Eko hits the ground Locke wakes up with a start and sees Eko sitting next to him. He realizes it was just a dream. Eko realizes Locke had a dream and accurately describes Yemi and tells how he lost Yemi in the drug deal and how he came back and found the same plane here. Locke tells him that Yemi wanted him to climb the cliff. Eko wastes no time in climbing. As he gets to the top he stands and looks around. He begins to say he doesn't see anything when he realizes that there is a giant question mark on the ground below that ends at the tail of the plane. (And it just got cheesy.)

Eko climbs down and begins checking the soil where the question mark is and realizes that it has been salted to prevent growth. He goes to where the dot on the tail of the question mark is hidden under the tail of the plane and begins hitting at it with his axe when he hits metal. Locke and Eko turn the plane just enough to reveal the hidden hatch. They open the doors and climb down the ladder, Locke moving awkwardly on his bad leg, and find a circular room with television monitors labeled 1-9. Locke turns on all the screens but only screen 8 shows anything. It is a live feed from their hatch. He sees Jack walking around. Locke then finds a computer terminal with a command prompt "Print Log? Y/N" Locke inputs Y and it prints out a log of all the code entries in the hatch.

Eko then gets Locke's attention and shows him a video tape labeled "Orientation." They put it in a VCR and it is orientation video 5 of 6, the Pearl. (3 of 6 is the swan, where our survivors are) In the film Dr. Marvin Candle from the early film introduces himself as Dr. Mark Wickman. He also appears to have both arms fully functional where as he did not before. He explains that the mission of the Pearl is to monitor one of the other stations from a psychological perspective. He explains that the inhabitants in the other station only know that their job is of the utmost importance but not what the nature is. He goes on to show how an air tube will be used to deliver reports and after three weeks his shift will be over where he can return to the ferry. Some details are cut out due to static. The ferry apparently goes to a village but where the ferry is was missing from the film.

Once they finish the film Eko asks Locke if he would like to watch the film again and Locke tells him no. He has "seen enough." Eko begins to gather the reports thinking that they might be important. He intends to take back as much as possible. Locke tells him to stop because it is all a joke. He thought he was doing something meaningful but he has just learned that everything in his life has been pointless. (Jack tried to tell you.) Eko contends that they were meant to push the button and that now his belief has been confirmed and if Locke won't do it then he will.

Back at the hatch Hurley tells Michael how they were going to go on the picnic and have a date and then he tells Michael how glad he is that he's okay. For the first time ever Michael has a guilty look on his face, as if he feels bad for what he has done. Hurley then requests to talk to Libby and Jack tells him to go ahead. Hurley begins talking and tearfully apologizes for forgetting the blankets. Libby comes to just enough to grab one last breath and say Michael with a look of terror on her face. Jack mistakes her words and tells her that Michael is fine. She looks over and then dies.

Kate is sitting at the table and begins to cry as Sawyer sits next to her and consoles her. Then the camera zooms in on Michael standing in the vault over Ana's body staring out the doorway. The alarm then begins to sound and we zoom in on the computer screen.

Couple of questions here:
1) So, is Claire's psychic a fraud? He gave her money back and said that he couldn't do this.
2) Which hatch is really the psychological experiment?
3) Now that the survivors think the hatch is an experiment why is Eko suddenly interested in pushing the button?
4) What happens with the Libby was in the hospital with Hurley story? It just died?
5) So is Hurley going to snap when he finds out Michael killed Libby?
6) And of course, WTF IS GOING ON!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I guess the whole show can be summed up by this episode's title:

?

I have created my own assumptions on what the next episode will hold.

Hurley has always said he has "never been good with numbers" Right now, as far as i know, he is the only person in the hatch who knows the combination for the computer. I think he will forget and everyone in the hatch will see what happens when the button isnt pushed. I also believe Michael will be safe from people assuming he is "bad", especially from Hurley, who probably feels his rendezvous with Libby was meaningless because she said Michael instead of his name before she died.

My opinion on Michael is that he was brainwashed, simple as that.

A question I have, though, is WHO moved the plane to cover the scientists hatch? It wouldn't make sense if it was The Others because they would have been using the room to spy on the main hatch, besides, the hatch looked fairly unused. Is there someone else on the island? Oh yeah, did anyone else notice the marijuana (at least I think it was) on the desk/chair right when Eko and Locke walked in? :sly: Lost likes using drugs.

So many questions, so little time. I guess all we can do is wait and see.

Locke wrote the numbers down and stuck them on the monitor with a Post-It note. Plus Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Michael have all also punched in he numbers. They were working on shifts at one point.

Next episode is supposedly Michael based and we see where he has been for the past couple of weeks. The promo at the end of last night's episode also showed Locke saying that he thinks Michael might have been compromised. If the Pearl hatch has any kind of recording equipment for teh monitors they may be able to see who did it. Or another thought is that if the Pearl hatch was being used recently then the shooting will be in the logs that Eko grabbed.

Um, the plane is where it fell when Boone had climbed into it. No one moved it there, it just fell there, killing Boone. I believe that Locke's dream about the plane crashing there originally was intended to show them the Pearl hatch, not sacrifice Boone so that the island would give Locke back his legs and allow him to find the way into the hatch. Now that Locke has begun to lose his faith Eko is being shown the way.

Is there someone else on the island?
Probably, but the orientation film mentioned a ferry, so they might not always be there.

Oh yeah, did anyone else notice the marijuana (at least I think it was) on the desk/chair right when Eko and Locke walked in? :sly: Lost likes using drugs.
Missed that one. Sorry.

So many questions, so little time. I guess all we can do is wait and see.
Just two episodes left this season.

DOH! I even remember them talking about how Boone died when the plane fell on him! Thats the only problem with this show, you miss an episode and you are pretty much LOST. Also, there are so many tiny details...like the marijuana (LOL, I swear its there...wait for the DVD) and other tid-bits of info thats its almost impossible to remember it all. Wish i had TiVo.....:grumpy:

Have any of you here ever tried explaining the show to someone who doesn't watch it? Its nearly impossible because you always feel like you are leaving something out. And even if you DO get the point across, its pretty much useless because they look LOST anyways....."what do you mean hatch?", "where do they get water?" etc, etc.

I record it on my PC with my tuner card. I will recheck that tonight.

Just hand them the DVDs. It will save you both a headache.

Besides the fact that those are the numbers Hugo used for the lotto. He won't forget them anytime soon.

Excellent write up yet again! I must thank you for the effort you put into!

/on to the questions

FoolKiller
1) So, is Claire's psychic a fraud? He gave her money back and said that he couldn't do this.

Ok so far the psychic has influenced 2 people. Claire intentionally, Eko not by his own will. Although he did says that he exploited people so how do we know that the Psychic didnt get his wife etc to make up this stunt just to delay eko's journey and get him on the correct flight?

FoolKiller
2) Which hatch is really the psychological experiment?

Well there was a destroyed camera in the pearl hatch too so somebody must have been watching the watchers. No doubt they were used to do the watching for the reseachers casting the experiment but the tvs have feeds coming from each of the hatches but maybe the people at the top of this big chain could feed in what ever they wanted to the tvs to gauge the watchers reactions? The chap on the vid (his name escapes me) said something along the lines of "you must report eveything no matter how strange"

Hope that makes sense
FoolKiller
3) Now that the survivors think the hatch is an experiment why is Eko suddenly interested in pushing the button?

Well maybe eko noticed that broken camera so wants to continue pressing the button so not to raise awareness. Like mentioned above i doubt only the pearl hatch was watching the other hatches. Eko seems to have his head screwed on so might have a bigger plan
FoolKiller
4) What happens with the Libby was in the hospital with Hurley story? It just died?

I think this has still to come yet. Remember dreams are playing an important role lately so either hurley will be visited by libby and tell him what actually happend, my guess is that this dream reunion will happen in the hospital they stayed. Another possibility is that she will visit micheal in his dreams and tell him about hurley. Micheal may not be able to take this and will spill the beans about what happened again the visit taking place in the hospital triggering hurley to remember where he knew libby from
FoolKiller
5) So is Hurley going to snap when he finds out Michael killed Libby?

the poop is really going to hit the fan when that comes out. just remember what hurley was like to soya a few episodes back!

6) And of course, WTF IS GOING ON!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

That my friends i cannot answer!

1) So, is Claire's psychic a fraud? He gave her money back and said that he couldn't do this.

I don't know. Not only did he give her the money back, he later read her for free, and he was the one who paid for the airline ticket, insisted it must be Flight 815, and was very insistent that Claire should raise the baby alone. Doesn't seem like a coincidence to me, unless Dharma wanted to engineer Claire's presence on the plane in order to get their hands on Aaron, and set up the "psychic" in order to do so.

2) Which hatch is really the psychological experiment?

I think they both are, perhaps. I'm still up in the air as to whether the button is really fake, though. It was interesting to note that the crew of the Pearl station was also under surveillance.

3) Now that the survivors think the hatch is an experiment why is Eko suddenly interested in pushing the button?

Haven't a clue.

4) What happens with the Libby was in the hospital with Hurley story? It just died?

I would think so, yes. Unless they plan to bring it up later as more flashback stuff, and maybe have Hurley remember that she was there. But with Libby dead, I don't see the purpose of such a memory.

5) So is Hurley going to snap when he finds out Michael killed Libby?

Yup.

I don't think Michael will ever again be a member of that group, not like he was before.

Another thing I wondered is whether the Pearl station is really the big "?" in the center of the map on the blast door. The door has "The Pearl?" written over by another station, simply labeled "CV IV" on the map. I wonder if they took a wrong turn somewhere? Or is the map wrong? It seems like they didn't really travel that far, and I got the impression that the "?" is dead-center of the island.. I don't think they traveled that far.

Makes you wonder if Michael's murder of Libby and Ana Lucia is caught on tape at the Pearl or another station?

Did you guys catch the part of the Pearl orientation video that mentions something along the lines of "When your shift is over, proceed to the ferry, which will take you back to the barracks."

Why did the Pearl get a videotape when the Swan got a film? And the video seemed older... or rather, the guy in the video seemed younger than he did on the Swan film.

What other tasty information did Eko take from the Pearl?

Will Locke decide not to push the button?

JUST WTF IS.... oh, never mind. :)

I just watched the episode and feel a bit stupid now... Thanks for that, Carl.

Anyway,

Jedi2016
unless Dharma wanted to engineer Claire's presence on the plane in order to get their hands on Aaron, and set up the "psychic" in order to do so.
A corrupt psychic receiving money from Dharma... Nice theory. 👍

Jedi2016
Makes you wonder if Michael's murder of Libby and Ana Lucia is caught on tape at the Pearl or another station?
Yeah, I guess everyone is wondering that but I'd say it doesn't seem likely.
Although I don't see any other way of they knowing it now.

Specialized
The chap on the vid (his name escapes me)
Don't feel bad. He gave different names in each video.

Also in the Swan video he had a fake hand and in the Pearl video it was fully functional. Might be twins or (God Forbid) clones.

Jedi2016
Why did the Pearl get a videotape when the Swan got a film? And the video seemed older... or rather, the guy in the video seemed younger than he did on the Swan film.
I think you answered your own question. The swan film is older, in black and white and reel to reel wher as the Pearl video is VHS, in color, and actualy copyrighted 1980.

Of course this creates another issue. The scientist in both films appear to be teh same but he calls himself Dr. Marvin Candle in the first and Dr. Mark Wickman in the second. In the Swan film, which is older, Dr. Candel has a fake left arm. It never moves and the hand is solid without separate fingers, just contoured lines to show fingers. In the Pearl video, which is newer, Dr. Wickman has two fully functional hands.

I think this points out a clue for us. It is either hinting at cloning or regenration. The video made later has a younger man with a working hands while teh film made first shows a slightly older looking man with a fake arm.

I know part of the Hanso Foundation initiatives are longevity and medical science. Either regeration or cloning would explain this. Regeneration would also explain Locke, Rose, and Sun being miraculously healed.

Perhaps they are test subjects and the button pushing is actually just a ruse to keep them in a hatch to be monitored while the real test is the regenerative abilities.

AAARRRGGGHHH! It's too much! I can contemplate this in a million different directions.

Don't you hate it when you find yourself only halfway watching the show because you keep trying to put together different scenarios based on what is happening?

This past episode was good and (once again) brought up more questions. Before I ask them I will wait for the summary...

I only have one question:

Why can't I ever get caught in a net???

with Kate.
I think the wife might have a problem with that.

Of course, if I was presumed dead on an island...

What rescue, that boat at the end sure as hell isnt a rescue vessel. LOL, so you can get 'caught in the net' as you please.

Anyone else find it strange how The Others seem to have many similarities to the main characters. (Ms. Clue = Sahid, Michael = Henry) Just my observation and guess.

Can't say that I have.

Here it is.

SPOILER ALERT

Episode 22: Three Minutes
This is a Michael-centric episode.
As usual my comments will be in blue.

FLASHBACK: (13 days or 13 weeks ago)

We start 13 days ago where we see Michael knock Locke out and take the gun. (Has it really only been 13 days?) Once Locke is down Michael runs to the computer to try and talk to Walt. He starts communicating again and "Walt" tells him that he is okay. Michael says that he is coming now. Then he hears Jack yelling so he clears the screen and hides while Jack runs in to check on Locke. Then Michael runs up with the gun and tells Jack he is going after Walt and no one can stop him.

Next we see Michael running across the island. He is following the compass north. (I thought it didn't work.) As he is running along he comes across a male Other peeing on a tree. Michael draws his gun and catches the man off guard. The man doesn't seem remotely afraid and actually smart talks Michael a bit before asking if he is Walt's dad. Michael pauses for a second and the man points behind Michael. Michael turns to find Zeke right there, who grabs at the gun. They wrestle a bit and the gun fires into the air. Michael breaks free and starts running, firing a hand gun behind him the whole time. The Other man tries to fire at him but Zeke pushes the gun down making the bullets miss. He says that they need him and then uses a bolo (I think that's right. A rope with two weights on the ends) to trip Michael and catch him. Zeke instructs them to hurry up because his friends are right behind them.

They take Michael to a camp site and Zeke starts to talk to Michael, but Michael spits in his face. Zeke says that is fair, he took his boy, but he had better not do that again. Someone comes up with Kate with the bag over her head. Zeke warns Michael not to say a word and then gags him. As Zeke goes out to confront Jack, Sawyer, and Locke Alex comes up to Michael and tries talking to him. When Zeke yells for Alex to bring out Kate Alex asks the other guy to do it and once alone begins asking Michael about Claire and the baby and if they are alright. Once Zeke comes back Alex looks at Michael and says, "Sorry," and then knocks him out with the butt of her gun.

Next we see the Others leading Michael and he is stumbling Zeke asks if he is okay and Michael says that after they marched him all day and night he was tired. Zeke offers to knock him out and carry him but they are "here." They walk into a camp site and Zeke tells Alex to tell someone that they are there. While waiting the guy Michael walked up on using the bathroom takes some of Michael's blood and then leaves. Then a black woman comes up and introduces herself as Ms. Clue. She begins asking Michael all sorts of questions about Walt, like if he is Michael's biological son, how old he was when he started speaking, if he had any fainting spells, and if he ever appeared in a place he wasn't supposed to be. (Sounds familiar) Michael stops for a second and Ms. Clue asks if he saw Walt while they were apart. Michael just demands to see Walt and she tells him that he doesn't seem to know much about his son.

It is now just three days ago and Michael is still being held captive. Ms. Clue comes in with food and Michael asks her when they are going to kill him. He knows too much about them and not enough about their questions. He doubts Walt is alive. She tells him that Walt is just outside. She then tells Michael that one of their people has been captured and they need him to set him free. Michael demands to see Walt, he even begins screaming. Ms. Clue gives him three minutes. Walt comes in and Michael asks him if he is okay. Walt tells him they make him tale tests but Ms. Clue stops him from telling more. Walt tells Michael that they aren't who they say they are, they're pretending. Ms. Clue decides that is enough and breaks them up. Walt breaks free and runs to hug Michael. As they drag Walt away he screams that he loves him and Michael tells him he loves him too.

While Michael is crying Ms. Clue writes down four names on a list that she wants him to bring back. They are Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley. She says it has to be just them and no one else. She also says that if he doesn't bring them all he will never see Walt again. Michael agrees but wants to know what he should say. She says that it doesn't matter. Michael doesn't recognize Sawyer's name because it is written as James Ford. She tells him that if he does this he gets Walt back and they both go free. Michael says that he wants the boat too. (He knows how to negotiate)

MAIN STORY: (No more, no less)

We find Michael outside the hatch burning the paper given to him by Ms. Clue. Jack steps outside and Michael drops eth paper behind him. Jack asks what he is doing and Michael says that he just had to get some air. Jack asks him to come inside so that they can talk. Michael steps on the paper to put it out and goes in. Kate, Hurley, Jack and Sawyer are inside. They discuss what they should do next and Michael wants to go get Walt. Jack suggests rounding up more people but Michael tells him that they aren't going to take an army, they'll hear them coming. Hurley gets angry and yells that they aren't even buried yet. Kate offers to help him bury the bodies. They decide to leave the next morning.

Later we find Michael cleaning the blood off the floor of the hatch as Eko comes in from "looking for Henry." Michael asks if they found him and he says no. Michael then asks him about being a priest and if he believes in Hell. Eko tells him a story about a young boy who confessed to killing his dog for biting his sister. The boy wanted to know if he would go to Hell. Eko to9ld him that God would forgive him as long as he was sorry, but the boy did not care about forgiveness. He was afraid that if he went to Hell the dog would be waiting for him.

Michael leaves the hatch and goes walking through the woods but starts vomiting. Jack finds him and Michael explains that he had to get out of there. Jack reassures him that they will get Walt back but Michael insists that it just be the five of them and that it is his call. Jack concedes that it will be his call.

On the beach Claire is taking care of Aaron when Charlie walks up and tells her that he found a box with an injector and vaccines in the food drop. He felt that if anyone should have it that it should be her. As they continue to talk and Charlie tries to get back in good with her she looks up and screams that Michael is back. Charlie looks up to see Jack and Michael walking out of the woods.

Jack and Michael continue walking down the beach until Jin and Sun se them and run up and give him a hug. Then Sun notices the two covered bodies lying in the makeshift graveyard where Kate and Hurley are digging graves. Sun asks who and what happened and Michael explains that it was Ana-Lucia and Libby and that they were murdered.

Next we see Sawyer and Jack in Sawyer's tent going through the guns. Sawyer asks Jack what happened with him and Kate the night before when they found Michael. Jack explains about them being stuck in the net and Sawyer says, "That what they're callin' it these days?"

As they leave the tent Sayid walks up to them and asks if it is true that Henry is gone. Jack explains that it is and that Locke and Eko went after him, Sawyer mentions that they haven't seen either of them since. Sayid looks at the guns and ask when they leave. Jack tries explaining how Michael wants it but Sawyer doesn't care and gives Sayid a gun, welcoming him aboard.

Next we see Eko in the hatch where he is wandering around when he notices magnetic pull behind the wall. Before he has a chance to investigate the alarm goes off and he goes to the computer and punches in the numbers. At that time Charlie walks in and asks where he went. Eko explains that he needs Charlie to bring his things because he is going to move in to the hatch. Charlie asks him about the church and Eko attempts to explain that he has something else to do now. Charlie tells Eko he can get his own stuff, but he needs to hurry because the clock is ticking.

Back at the beach Michael has set up a new tent and is sitting with Vincent relaxing. Sawyer walks up and explains that Sayid is coming along too. Michael gets upset and Sawyer says that he figures that if they are going to war they would want a guy who's actually been in a war. Michael concedes that he is right and Sawyer walks off.

Michael goes to Sayid who is packing his bag. Michael explains that Sayid isn't going with them and explains that Sayid wants revenge while Michael just wants Walt. He tells him it has to be his way. Sayid agrees and shakes his hand, telling him good luck.

Meanwhile Charlie is trying to build the church by himself but is having trouble without Eko. Vincent comes running up with a Mary statue in his mouth and Charlie asks if someone put him up to it. Vincent runs off and Charlie follows him. He goes to Sawyer's tent where he is eating food from his stash and Charlie sees all the statues. He takes them all to the beach and begins throwing them in the water. He ponders on the last statue for a moment but finally tosses it in the water too. Then he looks over and sees Locke sitting on the beach watching him. Locke just gives him a smile.

Back in the hatch Eko is sitting at the computer when Jack walks in and asks him where he's been. Eko just says that they couldn't find Henry's trail. (I guess no one tells the truth, not even priests.)

Jack goes to load up the guns and pack bags with Sawyer and Sawyer asks who is going to talk at the funeral. Jack says that he thinks Hurley will say something about Libby. Then Sawyer talks about not knowing Ana-Lucia's last name. Jack tells him it was Cortez. Then Sawyer admits to sleeping with her and Jack asks why he is telling him this. Sawyer says it is because he is the closest thing to a friend that he has, now that Ana is dead.

Back on the beach Kate and Hurley are digging the grave when Michael walks up and starts helping. He begins talking about the plan for finding the Others. When he asks Hurley if he is going Hurley says he doesn't want to. Michael gets worked up and says, "Because they killed her." Kate tries to calm Michael down and Hurley says that he is sorry about Walt but he isn't going. Michael starts to get worked up more but Kate stops him. Michael just says OK and leaves it at that.

Later everyone is coming to the gravesite for the funeral. Sawyer, Kate, and Hurley are there looking very comber. Locke looks over from the beach and then cuts the splint off his leg and gets up and walks in the other direction.

As Jack is walking he is talking to Sayid about how he was going to bury his dad as soon as he got home but he didn't know what to say. He says he is there again with this funeral. Sayid then tells Jack that he thinks Michael has been compromised. He explains that he thinks Sayid released Henry and that he is willing to do anything for his son and he is leading them into a trap. Jack tells him he believes a lot but Sayid says he also believed Henry was an Other. Jack wants to confront Michael but Sayid tells him that he wants Michael to think he is still in control. Jack wants to know what he plans to do but Sayid doesn't know. He has a night to figure that out.

At the funeral Jack talks about Ana being a cop and how she probably helped a lot of people. After he finishes he looks over and stares at Michael who doesn't notice. Hurley then talks about Libby and how she was a psychologist or a psychiatrist, "one of those things." He said that she helped a lot of people, she helped him. Then he turns to Michael and says that he is going with him.

At that moment Sun looks up and starts pointing at the ocean yelling "boat." Everyone turns they see a sail boat coming towards the beach.

A few questions:

1) Does Eko know about Michael or is he just telling a good story?
2) Is the boat someone new, a boat for Michael, or Desmond returning? I think Desmond.
3) Will Sayid's actions cause Michael to lose Walt again or save them all?
4) Are the Others actually more advanced and the whole camp setup a fake? Walt hinted at that with the "they aren't who they say they are" thing.
5) So does Walt have some crazy cool powers?
6) WTF is going on!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Previews for next week claim to tell us how the plane went down. I can't wait.

Next week is a two hour season finale.
