I let my b spec drive do 300km on it and then change oil and you get the last missing bhp.

ill try that but i cant see it gaining 25bhp lol

Make sure you have the Racing Exhaust installed. There's a glitch with 1.10 where the game buys the part for your car, but doesn't install it by default.

Yes it is.

Well I did a 1:24.455 @ Laguna with the same exact tune as I had for ARR. Even the gear set's perfect for Laguna, I just might change the final drive a bit.

Just some average turn speeds to sort of aim for:
50mph T1
67 T2
100 feather lift T3 (you can go flat out if you hit it just right with lower fuel)
82T4
101 lift off T5
45-50 T6 (Will never really figure out corkscrew, just try my best to get through it clean)
100 T7 ( flat out)
95 T8
47 T9

Just up those speeds a bit and it'll be a 1:23. Which I think will be pole time.

After I went in the pits the first time it was a good race. This race is another reason to dislike fictional tracks. I look forward to next week. 👍

i did the 300km race with it and its still only 244bhp out of curiousity whats everyone elses bhp?

Thanks Mule and Wardez for taking time out to create a great series, was a blast to do the race. I was happy to take a strong 2nd (3rd if LaPierre was there- sorry you got disconnected man I'm sure it would have been a great battle with brosif) I got in a hero run in quali and knew I would not be the fastest car there, but I was planning on staying in the draft and hanging out with Pierre for the whole race. Some minor, but significant early race contact took me out of contention for a win, but I was not the fastest, or even 2nd fastest so it doesn't bother too much, I just believe strongly in super-clean racing and take that seriously as it tends to ruin some of the fun. I came a long way with setting the car up in less than a week and only 2 practice sessions early in the week. P1/P2 were in a different level of setup just watching the replays and looking at tire wear. Still a great time and good to get in a real race distance. A great job by EERS too, battling through the pack to take a hard fought podium. 👍

I won't make it for the next race as I have autocross events coming up on Sundays, but hope to make a couple of more races before the season is out. Hopefully I'm not left completely in the dust with setup by then! :) In the meantime, I'll be hosting my Spec Racing Lobby during the week (all recommended cars, no tuning, everyone in the same equipment etc) and anyone that has participated in the Elise Series is welcome to attend (though I'm sure you'll want every extra minute to practice and setup your Elise for the next event!) Still, if you are in the mood for super spec pickup race than stop by! Good luck to all and Ill be back for an RM Lotus Series Race in 2-3 weeks hopefully. Cheers!

Nick

Dude, go into the tuning menu of your Elise and see if the box next to the racing exhaust has a check mark. You don't need to buy it because the RM already does that for you. If it has a check mark then it is already equipped and you effed up something else.

99.9% positive you need to equip racing exhaust. Mind you I said equip, not purchase.

Still have to watch the replay for fastest lap and stuff.

Haha:lol: Like the "and stuff." Was watching replay myself and believe someone on the track needs to calm down on diving into hairpins and making hero moves with half a race left. I know I was on the recieving end once or twice. Eero had same issue. Ultimately though it didn't ruin my race. I was already pissed I was back in 8th and 9th. Oh yea, and spun out twice toward the end didn't help. Blah, terrible track for this kind of racing.

Well done to Brosif for the win and to the podium finishers.

I did a 1'13.7xx :D
I also did a 1'14.014 w/out a draft, both laps were done on my last set of tires catching El Alien (who drove a great race:tup:).

There were definitely a few "racing incidents" throughout in the race. Nothing that was malicious and deserving of a penalty, though.

Most of it was the car in front going a bit wide on exit, and the car behind thinking they can jump in and pass, and the car in front not seeing them make the move, and ending up getting punted when they try to take their normal line.

I was on both ends of it, myself. Lap 2, I thought my car was oversteering when it wasn't, and ending up giving Wiifreak a big hipcheck coming out of the first hairpin. After I saw it in the replay, I saw it was far worse than what I thought, as it sent him right off the track, and back 2 spots. Definitely something I should have slowed down and waited for him for.

And on lap 3, someone was in my draft, and thought they could go inside me going into that stupid turn 2 kink.

Protip: Trying to pass someone there does. not. work. ever.

He ended up getting into me, sending me into the grass, then in turn three, I slide up, out of control, and absolutely crushed his left front tire. That ended up killing my race right then and there, while he recovered and got a good finish out of it. :grumpy:

I didn't see anyone else try to pass there, though, which is good.

also, EERS got the fastest lap. 1:13.7something. Puts his lead up to 4 points over Brosif

WT...! i was driving constant 14.5, but now i know why that wasn't enough, nice driving!!, i lost time at the beginning with the group headed by Eeron, we were running 15.5-16.5 for several laps. this track is like hungaroring

Nice laps Eers!

For some reason my last set of tires were much quicker than my previous two sets. I wonder if we all got faster once there were fewer people on the track. It was as if suddenly I was able to run my practice times. The first two sets just seemed slooow.

I am not completely sure there weren't a couple that were definitely deserving of a penalty. There were a couple of dive-bombing incidents... and with those incidents the person did not let the other person regain their position. One happened to me, where the person didn't accomodate for the draft and used my right door to make the turn... then I watched the same person dive-bomb someone else later on. Clearly this person, in my eyes, was driving way to agressively and risking the races of those around them.

I sent a pm to the person.. and that is fine. I would hate for you to have to get involved in these incidences. Hopefully this can be settled by pm. But I will definitely bring this up if the situation occurs in a future race with the same driver.

Make sure to read everything on the first page Twissy. Need a # too.

That first lap felt like everyone had just got done watching the F1 GP and thought "normal cars" are capable of making insane dive-under passing maneuvers. Real cars can't hold lines that tight though so we should all chill out a bit next week. We did such a good job at Suzuka too; lets not forget "fun first, win second" this isn't for reals with money and trophies on the line.

gl next week, this car is stupid fun at laguna seca 👍

Well, after one day on the job, I get a phone call that said I've been "replaced"

:grumpy:

Oh well. At least this gives me some time to go through and finally update the second post with the new entries.

Allright, I had no problem all race long almost no lag and thanks to the GT5 dedicated servers, I got disconmected.

I am very upset because my strategy was going to work very well and I would have had much pleasure enjoying the last couple of laps...

What can I do... See you next week.

I was very upset as well when I saw you drop. It was going to be very exciting trying to run you down after my final pit stop. I'll have to look at the replay again but I believe I had a 12-14 second lead when you dropped on lap 32. Delta time for a pit stop is roughly 28 seconds so if our interval would have stayed the same until my last stop on lap 36 I would have had 15 seconds to make up in 18 laps. I think I could have caught you but passing you would have been another story.
