Okay, here we are with points:

For Brosif to clinch the championship, no matter what anyone else does, he must win. No bonus points are required.

If Wiifreak wins, gets the pole and the fastest lap, then he wins no matter what anyone else does. If he gets no bonus points, then Brosif can finish 2nd and take the title.

For Wardez to win the championship, he must win, and if he scores no bonus points, then Brosif can finish no higher than 7th. 1 bonus point, and Brosif can finish no higher than 6th 3 bonus points, and anything less than a podium gives Wardez the title.

NEPALII and Aliens basically need a miracle. They need a win, all 3 bonus points, and to hope that Brosif finishes less than 11th and 12th, respectively, as well as hope that Wiifreak finishes less than 7th/8th.

Im confused with the Bonus points. It says I have 4, so I will have 4 points added at the end of the championship? Oh as for the title, miracles can happen so you never know lol.

Oh, so I need to win to beat the two people above me who've missed 3 races to my 2... Good thing I'm a ring-rat. ^o^

Yep, you're right.

I think it was because when I started the recount, I included your bonus point with your Indy win, changed my mind and decided to count them separate, and forgot to remove yours.

Fixed.

Well I just hope more than 10 people show up at the race. 'cause if we run it like Nurb. it'll be even slimmer of a chance for me.

Yes, I desperately need a full grid to happen on the race if I want a chance at the title. Maybe the top runners will get disconnected! :dopey: Guys all you have to do is while racing unplug that little cable on your modems. Thank you. Have a nice day. :sly:

Just finished my first timed lap at the green hell heaven (8:48).
Holy crap this car was built for the north loop. The hardest part is convincing yourself to try things you wouldn't do outside of an LMP1 car... like going from bergwerk to klostertal flat (it takes Bergwerk without dipping below 85mph ffs). Or late braking for aremberg after taking flugplatz and schedenkruez flat.
The winner will be the one who has the biggest balls for the longest period of time.

BTW... I think it's amazing that we're racing on the 218th day of August... ;P

going back to my lounge for more :D

got it down to 8:39.118 ... still a couple more seconds to trim.

Well hopefully it's done like I pointed out in the earlier post. 'cause trying to do a warm up lap then the flyer will be wayyyyyyy too long.

Here it is again:
Well the best thing we've found is to only make it a one lap race. You do your "warm up" by going through the GP track and the first sector of the Loop, as soon as you cross the downhill section just before flugplatz, there is a sector marking.. That's where the start of the quali will be.

Then you have the rest of the lap to make it. We take your total time and subtract the first few sector times up to the flugplatz marker to get your time.

Works well every time.

And in the WSGTC method, If you set it to 2 laps instead of just one, you could do lots of people at the same time.

That's the only logical way of doing it, honestly.

Unless we go with Brosif's idea, skip quali altogether and go by reverse points, but I'm sure there'll be people who don't like that.

I'd be cool with something simple like 1 standing start lap... only takes ~8:50 per person.
usual 4 laps have been going at around ~6 min per person; only 3 min longer. *shrug*

Basically, how I'm going to do it is how Wardez said, except we start when the north loop starts instead of going all the way to Flugplatz.

What are you going to do if, unfortunately, some of us get affected by the hurricane and lose internet connection before the race? :scared:

Hmm, nothing special can be done Nep. We've always treated them kind of like if were real life. If you disconnect from the game it'd be like your car's engine blowing up or tire loss, what have you.

That's racing.

But it could happen to any of us. :/

Hope you're ok though, where are you located?

Oh I see. It makes sense that way. Im in New Jersey, im about 15 minutes from New York(Manhattan). Heard that it was gonna hit here. Im just worried.

I'd like to throw a monkey wrench into things by doing a one-off.

Link to qualifying:

There'll be a description of the qualifying structure for Nurb. in the sheet.

Qualifying is set in the final round over one lap. The first four sectors of the lap are your "warm" up lap like the tradional out lap of regular live qualifying. The rest of the "North Loop" section of track, all the way back to the start/finish in the GP track will be the qualifier.

In order to calculate the qualifying time we simply deduct the first four sectors from the total lap time.
