Anyone else like this movie?
Just picked up the "Special Edition" DVD over the weekend. Awesome, awesome movie.
Saw it when I was 8 or 9, but couldn't appreciate it then. This special edition DVD has the original Australian english, not the crappy american english that was dubbed in for the US release. (It does have the dubbed american track as a selectable option)
Those Holdens sure look nice...and the stunts! My oh my the stunts. This movie set records in the stunt department...one guy flew 83 feet in the air, leaving his motorcycle, and in another scene they strapped a rocket from the aus navy onto the back of a car. It accelerated to 100mph in 2.1 seconds (according to the commentary) and then promptly exploded.
An excellent movie, wonderfully shot and very nicely put together, The cuts/editing, sound, and impressive visuals really make this one special. Oh yeah and the blood too, heh. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
