Well I think us been through this before .....

But........ the detail is that the teacher who allowed us to use and create HYB,
is not online at the moment, he's this in the new world of GTA V,
and from what I know he will come back only in December for the GT6,
then, not to be a guy who brings the bad news, :scared:

The time of HYB already ended sadly just "I think" :(

I pray to be wrong, and that our fellow be able to circumvent this update.

But, the very short time and less than 2 months for the GT6,
I hope that there is still some motivation to break another update.

What the great GRANKUSTOM said...👍

There's a teacher ? Never knew this ...

What bugs me is the way this is handled. Very, VERY, few people intended to cheat. Let's face it, that wears out quick.

Very, VERY, little research has been done about who is hacking cars and their motivations for doing so.

What most people did was find a way to make the experience better for them. The effort they put into repairing the exploit could have been put into a proper implementation of the desired features.

Meanwhile, the very same way was ruining the experience for a lot of others. If they hadn't spent time fixing the hacks, they could have done something useful. Perhaps that's something to think about the next time you hack a car.

They break the first rule of game design, which is to make a great toy and let the player explore. Instead, they are increasingly restricting play.

THEY break the rule? That's hilarious. There's plenty of exploring to be done in GT5, using methods that doesn't violate the terms of use (there you have some proper rules).

C'mon, we all roll our eyes when someone brings one of the easy cars into a room. All the NSX/LFA/M3CSL/111R/HSC drivers. Why allow for 100 favourites when you only need 5? :P

So why not roll some more every time someone brings a hacked car into the room?

What is going to be different in GT6? If you get the cars mentioned above, you don't need the rest of the game. Better looking replays isn't worth $60

If you play the game only to win online races, then... you can probably spend your $60 elsewhere.

.

You mean like telling people they can't use a car in the room because you don't like it rather than just letting the system decide? Cars like the Amuse 380 or the Nissan 390.

The bottom line is you spend $60 for the right to play the game but you don't really own it. The so called hidden parts were already coded into the game. PD should have used their time to unlock them so everyone had access. Instead they pull another sneak attack. Doesn't sound much like a company that really cares about their fan base.

Now we sit and wait for GT6 which will be incomplete just like GT5 was. Kaz and his little family are doing what they want. They have really never listened to their fan base when it comes to Gran Turismo. They should have been working on releasing more DLC or giving us new tracks or something to get life back into GT5. No they are more concerned about their online players. They could have just as easily put a flag on the rooms to kick out a modified car and left the hybrids alone for in game play.

My biggest mistake was not taking all my Bobs off line before the maintenance. I spent too much time swapping stuff between my accounts. I hope GT6 is really a much better game.

Maybe it was just a break-in effect haha
I didn't look at the PP ratings of any car, I just went on GT5 to see what the update did. What car were you using?

Car used was the Audi R8 4.2 FSI, parts installed.
ECU,Stage 1 motor upgrade, Sport Intake, Racing Airfilter, Sport exhaust, Sport Cat, Racing Exhuast, Stage 3 weight reduction, Glass reduction. I don't know if the change is for all the cars just yet.

Racin510s: Couldn't agree with you more. Instead of getting the hint and include a realistic engine/drivetrain swap-feature in GT6 (like Forza's been doing it for YEARS), they just disable it over and over again.

Exactly! The feature is there, just finish it.

And i think if that will be done in GT6, more guys will get a playstation for it... I don't know why PD just dont listen to us. I think with the hybrids we showed enough what we want. And how you guys said, the codes are there they just need to finish it...
I hope PD see what we want and put that into GT6 :)

Not the point of them caring or not. Here let me inform you about the hidden parts.

What a lot of people keep forgetting (or don't actually know), is that these hidden parts are actually used for different cars.

For example is something I had spent a lot of time testing.

The hidden tires.

As we all know there are Type V and Type C tires for every single car in GT5. Each car for every grade of tire has either, Type C, Type V, or a combination of both by default.

Type V- A tire that has grip in the inline direction.
Type C- A tire that has grip in the horizontal direction.

I tested about 50 cars throughout GT5. Here's a example of the car that is fresh in my mind.

Grand Touring Trans Cammer.
By default it has Type C tires in the front and Type V tires in the rear.

So for the tires, they are technically not hidden, but used by default.

Reason is to duplicate different types of grip that the car has in real life. Which I hope this changes with the new tire model in GT6.

---

Same senaryo for the rest of the hidden parts.

The racing catalytic converter racing flywheel, and racing clutch for example are all used in certain cars by default.

These parts are used on race cars or RM cars by default. This is the reason why when you look at the drive train part for the Mazda 787B, you don't see the flywheel or clutch. It is installed by default.

Just because they are not able to be changed manually, doesn't mean that PD doesn't care about its fan base. They have their own reasoning, and from testing has made me understand this reasoning.

You mean it doesnt make sense to change hidden parts, right?

On the particular part of my post that you quoted, yes it really wouldn't make sense to do so.

No. What made you think I meant that?

So as long as they don't do what you want them to, you should be allowed to hack their games? Good luck trying to make that message come through.

This. Seriously, hackers really need to get over themselves that they can't do whatever they want in the dev's game. So fustrating that they can't even understand that.....

This 100%.

But hey, some will alway think it is the end of the world. What can you do.

Everyone needs to get over it,the game is almost dead,PD is giving the last salvo to all the Hybridders/hackers who have cheated the TT's.Can you blame them?I don't want to hear nor care what you drive,or how you drive it,I have friends who do realistic hybridding so don't jump the shark. It seems PD is getting the last laugh.

Well, first of all. It's my game. I payed money for it, so I can do whatever I want with it.
Modding (or "hacking") games is nothing special when it comes to PC. Of course as a console gamer such things are almost impossible to pull of but when there are people spending weeks and months writing tools to include new features and basically improving the game, as a developer you must be stupid to not recognize such possibilities. Especially when your competitor it getting kudos for doing exactly these things.

Now I admit having million horsepower cars in a racing lobby sucks, but that's not the kind of mod I'm talking about. There are hundreds of interesting cars in GT5 that you can't really use in lobbys because there just too slow. Having the opportunity to do realistic modifications (like there being done in real life) would open up number of cars you could use, automaticly enhancing your play time.

What's frustating to me is that PD just have to listen to nobody. It's like they live in there own world, dreaming of creating "The real driving simulator" but haven't realised that they've been overtaken years ago. It seems to me as they focus on unimportant stuff, wasting valable time they could spend on creating more tracks/cars. Of course with Sony as there publisher, they get no preasure or creative input from that direction, so it's no wonder the games are delayed half a dozent times.

I still think Gran Turismo is the better game, and I spend at least 500+ hours on GT5. But there are so many easy little things that could drasticly improve the game. As long as I'm on the track I don't notice them somehow, but they bum me out everywhere else.

Wow, this text has gotten way too long. Well what's the point, I'm still buying GT6 and probably will still be unsatisfied with it.

PD makes the game the way Kaz wants it to be interpreted. Not my way, your way or anyone else's way.How difficult is that to understand? If there is something you want, start your own development company and get at it.If anyone is not happy with his vision, put the damn disk away and play something else.

BEST COMMENT SO FAR!! ^^ 👍

Yes I've created hybrids (realistic ones) and I've had my fun, though never took them online. GT5 is coming to an end, and PD are still showing they are in control. I'm now just waiting for GT6. People should just learn to accept it and move on.

I respect people who don't cheat for fame/gain,yes I truly like the look of the hybrid cars and I can understand why people do it.Thanks and happy motoring into GT6.

Give it a month or two. The modders will eventually have a new updated hybrid editor out. It happened with previous GT5 updates and will happen again.

That's pretty much what I said earlier. By that time though, must of us will have moved on to GT6. For me anyway, all of this will be just a distant memory. Out with the old, in with the new. 👍

So the minor fix was ditching all the PSN friends list or was that Sony's QC?

Some update...

It's a fumble on Sony's part. Had the same problem and thought it was related to the update. Restarted PS3 and everything is fine. Also fixed a problem where I couldn't send cars off to other accounts.
