Makeshift Shuffle - No Tuning RacesOpen

I'm not up to hosting Wednesday, sorry. Maybe I'll look at that DeLorean thingamajig, maybe not. Not really feeling very racy right now.

As it turns out I will be around on Sunday, but I still can't commit to hosting or even racing. I will post my itinerary for the third rounds of each current series soon, at any rate.

I will also be gone for most of next week.

No worries amar, no use trying to enjoy racing when you got other things on you mind.:indiff: We'll keep the ship afloat. 👍

To all others, have you got any track on your mind for Friday's Track Day? Don't hesitate to post your suggestions, or i'll slip on my dictator jacket and choose @watermelon punch's Hello Kitty Circuit:   👍

Brace yourself, it's time for the inexplicable conundrum also known as

Makeshift Shuffle Track Day - Community Edition™
Today 18:30UTC

Today's track is

Silver Shadow Path from @LongbowX 👍

Bring any cars you own, car lists are chosen by the last podium.
We'll work out any missing car problems in the room.

See you there!

Nice job @LongbowX, looks like a fast and technical track with some tricky corners. 👍 This one's gonna be fun! :D

I can't believe how long it's been since the last time I checked the forum. I've just been so busy with life that I can really only just jump in whenever I get lucky enough to have time to be on when you guys have an event going. So, it's basically pointless for me to say if I'm gonna be joining or not, b/c I never know. Anyway, that Silver Shadow Path is kinda like some of the custom tracks that my other friends make. The easiest way to make a track super challenging is to put a jump anywhere between the entry point and the apex of a corner, and I managed to find a really good line over that jump when we got into the retro cars. It also just happened that I've been racing mostly 420pp or less with my other friends, so I kinda felt at home with that CR-X, despite the fact that I'm not very good with FFs. That EK didn't do me any favors though. I made a video, so that those who weren't there can see this awesome track (and to show off a bit:D)

But that jump just felt perfect with those cars. It felt kinda like it was part of a rally circuit or something, and the CR-X just handled it very nicely.

Silver Shadow Path had a lot to offer, technical sections, uphill/downhill fun (up: strain for the weak engines, down: test for wooden brakes) and a nice overall flow and beautiful Andalusian scenery. Thanks to our broad car palette we could enjoy all those treats, great battles! :)Thanks for coming, hope you enjoyed it as much as i do. 👍
I wanted to add some race photos but i feel like hibernation is coming soon... :indiff: I hope you all know that posting photos is encouraged in this thread! :)

This Friday i want to choose a track made by the creator of Makeshift Shuffle, our one and only  @watermelon punch!
I'd like to use a short track, so maybe Runway 44 at Death Valley or NimbleBeat at Eifel: :dopey:

And i totally dig the the animalistic tracks like MsKitty or Rabbit Hop:

What do you think, fellow shufflers?

Well, after 500+ races on PDs offerings (and that's just since i started racing here...) it's refreshing to nail a few new corners. :D All of the tracks we raced so far were great and had their own unique challenges, so maybe you should just give it a try! :)👍
Maybe it's just because they require a generous time spent to learn them very well... ;) 👍

True, but if everyone is fairly inexperienced on a track I think it levels the playing field. Personally I think a great race is more determined by the drivers than the track and we have some of the best in this series (watch the likes go through the roof on this post!!!!). I should be able to make it tomorrow.

The fun is in that nobody knows the track very well. :sly:

And the designer won't be there :( so no home court advantage. ;)

Nimble Beat is quite short, so even in slow cars (for which it was designed).
And I have full-lap youtube videos for Nimble Beat & Rabbit Hop, they're posted in the resources (see link in my signature). The details of Hi Kitty course are listed, though I didn't do a full lap driven video for that one.
