Make sure to buy the cars until this Friday, there will be a special event introducing the new list. Please suggest some tracks you would like to race the cars, i'll put together the specifics later and update the Car Lists Sheet.

:C I miss racing with you folks. Unfortunately my rig still looks like this:

Also, my internet now kind of sucks, so even when I'm set up again, I might not be able to join in. I won't know until I try, but I'm afraid I might be lagtastic -- as I'm stuck with cellular broadband. It's good enough to stream 1080p even without a hard line to the router, but it will probably be full of lag spikes and packet drops and similar network gremlins.

I was really looking forward to the debut of the MR lists, too. Oh, well. Have fun folks, and maybe I'll be fortunate enough to see you on the track again.

Good to hear from you and that the move seems to have gone well! :) If you are ready to race again just drop by and we'll see if your connection is that bad -- it's travelling at the speed of light still... ;)

Matterhorn Rifflesee should be fun with MRs. Maybe Silver Shadow Path as well. Do we have anymore interesting custom tracks?

I used to have cellular Internet service as well. If you can move your router around (every slight rotation, and even changing where it is by just a millimeter can make a significant difference) and manage to squeeze out about 4 Mbps down and at least 300 kbps up when you run your connection test, then you should be able to achieve a just barely acceptable connection. Also, unless you are somehow able to get a much better speed than this, you're gonna have to take drastic measures to reduce lag. Turn off the media server in the network options, and check and make sure Upnp is enabled. You'll have to mess with your router settings if it's not. You'll need to clear your cache at least once or twice daily, and you may want to switch your phone to airplane mode if you use it for the car lists, or turn it off completely, as receiving a text or phone call, even without the phone being connected to WiFi, will cause a lag spike, sometimes with enough lag to disconnect you from the room. Also, your connection speed can be influenced by the weather. Any time there was a storm over my place, I would find, at some point, that I would be unable to connect to the Internet at all, and my speed was generally slower if it was just very cloudy out.

Last time we raced, I didn't notice any issues, so I kinda think your better off than I was. I usually spent more time troubleshooting my connection than actually doing any online gaming before I upgraded. Btw, that rig looks awesome. Wish I had one.

Can't host this evening, sorry folks. :(

Good idea! Matterhorn is noted, but we can only use one user track per room and not switch to others. :irked: Hope this gets resolved sooner than later.

No Track Day tomorrow, we will race the new Midengine Heaven list on a variety of tracks (lap count subject to change):
Midengine Heaven Introduction - Friday 18. Dec 19:30 GMT
  • 5 laps Cape Ring Inside
  • 5 laps Apricot Hill
  • 7 laps Matterhorn Riffelsee
  • 7 laps Brands Hatch GP
  • 4 laps Ascari
  • 1 lap Nordschleife
I'm trying to get all parts of the list covered, shifting through the list if necessary. This is going to be fun! :D

See you there!

I hadn't thought we could do that many tracks with that many laps in just 2 hours. I guess that's why the lap counts are subject to change. Hopefully, I can make it. I'll have to leave early, as usual, so I'll miss out on Nordschleife. I'm not a big fan of Ascari, but if I have time, I'll stay for it anyway just to give it a try. All of my cars in this list are specially painted with all the same custom rims. I had a lot of free time when getting these cars:lol:

Hey Zo, it not easy to come up with a nice race ideas after going through christmas shopping. :scared:   The pilgrimage to the local stores (imagine life before online shopping, i'm sure the inner cites must have been clogged with much more people back then... :sly:) has sucked the last bit of creativity out of me. If you have at least one list (If i remember correctly you have the Legends list) i'm sure we can arrange some decent racing tonight. Maybe you can buy the new Midengine Heaven list mentionend earlier too. :)đź‘Ť

Racing WILL occur at scheduled time today
2:30pm US EST / 11:30am US PST / 7:30pm GMT / 8:30pm CET / 19:30 UTC

But if it's up to me it'll be shuffle surprise.
(I can use some help.) ;)

I'm bent on racing today! But unfortunately I've got about 50 things on my To Do List prioritized before my list of things to do for racing. :ouch:  And it's been like that for weeks. :grumpy:

Christmas shopping is not the big problem for me now. (Gifts had to ship before now.)
But I have to bake carrot cake for the family gathering Friday, work all week, and get a bunch of other stuff done.

And my spouse & I, we're operating with basically 1 commuter car between 2 people now.

The Impreza is now at the repair shop getting the deer damage fixed and the expected finish time is after xmas!
OTOH, we bought another car. A 2012 Honda Civic Ex-L.

Safety ratings seem good. :) (Though not sure what else to say about it.)
That's important though since a few days before car shopping, my spouse was 3-4 cars behind THIS. (The car was completely upside down.) There are weekly accidents on that stretch of highway.
No bananas recently ;) but there was a carrot truck crash this past summer on I-81. :sly:

So, I'm finished with my coffee now.

Back to toiling through my list to try and finish stuff up before racing!

Opening the room momentarily.
Shuffle Surprise.
We will start out with a 1-make, then choose as we go, from lists, provided the list chosen everyone has completed.
If you want to join and are still missing lists, just let us know!
:D

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas! :D

We will definitely be racing at the appointed time. đź‘Ť

But I haven't bought all the MR cars yet. :( :(
We'll see if I get time before then. ^^
Busy days! :/

I'm going to see how many MR cars I can get purchased in the next 15 minutes

Happy New Year everyone! I hope i can put together something decent today, with mind altering substances still wreaking havoc in my system. :ill::crazy::) Stay tuned!

I'd like to recommend @Zolon32's Trinity Coupe Championship, a series of races every Tuesday starting Jan. 5th. You may recognize the format, it's a bit like shuffle with three untuned cars (they are also in our Performance Coupés list) assigned so the faster racers get the slower cars to even out the field. :)👍 I'm sure a lot of you will like it, i'll be there too.

First Track Day in the new year!

Today 19:30 GMT - Track Day - MontjuĂŻc Park

It's an old F1 track, short and sweet. đź‘Ť
I have a feeling the Senna WSR '83 will be used today... bring any lists you own, see you there!

^^^^ Postponed due to lack of participants.

BTW, i'm currently in the process of revamping the result process with the help of Google Sheets so that event and series standings and Parity updates plop out by entering the race results in a single place. Hopefully this will make the result maintenance less tedious and you can enjoy actual result posts here more often. Stay tuned. :D
