Luckily I could attend some track action @ Ciruito Hornachuelos on Friday's Track Day. :) It was great fun and the track is great. đź‘Ť Very different to race at Andalusia as I'm pretty used to race on Eifel tracks.

It's been a while since I've created that one, actually it was my 2nd track after Road America. Except a couple of Arcade races I haven't had the chance for some track time on Portimao. So I'm interested how suitable it's for online races? :eek:

Whiteout -- Historic Rallying at Chamonix
  • 15 laps Nissan Bluebird Rally Car (510) '69 @ Chamonix Mini
  • 8 laps Mitsubishi Lancer 1600 GSR Rally Car '74 @ Chamonix West
  • 4 laps Nissan SILVIA 240RS (S110) '83 @ Chamonix Main
  • 12 laps Lancia Stratos '73 @ Chamonix East
The Silvia and the Stratos are both challenging but fun in the snow, i chose the non-rally version so you can paint it to your own liking! I'd like to do it this Friday 19:30 GMT, but Wednesday is an option too, @Goetz?

My custom track avalanche keeps rolling and rolling. :rolleyes: :crazy: :D

I just released my very first pure fantasy track - North Bowl Speedway. There are no real track turns tried to be replicated, the whole layout was developed in a process of CAD drawing considering the geography.

I was fascinated by the way @Venari had described his track Circuito Hornanchuelos so I created a description for my own track as well. I've put quite some creativity in it though I'm usually not the most creative person IRL. :lol:

Furthermore I also did my very first video recording of a presentation lap at the new track.



I shot this with my Canon EOS 600D on a tripod. I'm not completely happy with the focus but for a first try the result is okay and one can comprehend the new track. :)

In case you guys are attracted by the track I'd suggest you to go out and drive it. And maybe it might be worth a consideration for a future track day. :cheers:

I don't have the Stratos and neither the 240RS, but I have the Bluebird and the Lancer. đź‘Ť
 
A quick last minute change to the Whiteout event: the 240RS hits the limiter on the Main Course, so we do the Main Course with the Lancer and adjust the laps a bit:

Room closed, phantastic snow races! Hope you liked it as much as i did, snow racing is surely a specialty niche in GT, but it's awful lot's of fun! :D The legendary Stratos and especially the Silvia were quite a handful, truly rewarding to plow sideways through white Chamonix... :cool:
 
Wish I could've made it to this race, I wouldn't complain if snow or rally races were scheduled any given Sunday.

Awesome races guys. Wish I could have been there for the last one with the Stratos. I had some serious battles with @jammy21 and tacom08 (can't seem to tag you). It was quite an exciting run getting up behind someone, getting completely enshrouded in a snowy mist, and continuing to floor it, despite having almost zero visibility through the snowy mist. I watched one of my replays and found that, at one point, it looks like the camera is focused on tacom08, and then I just suddenly pop out of the snow behind him. I made a video, but the thing takes about 2 hours just to render, only for it to upload in about 15 minutes. Since it's midnight here, right now, I'll get that taken care of in the morning, and post here when it's done.

Congrats to nordic racer @jammy21 for the overall snow crown! Sadly tacom discoed in the second race, it seems public rooms are more unstable in this regard (i think it's because of the random people entering) so i will not use them again.

And yes, after eons of missing results i'll start to tackle the giant backlog, bear with me...

I've been busy with real-life car issues actually. along with the usual pesky Real Life stuff. :crazy:

I was hoping to get caught up with the results soon.

And then I was thinking we should have a parity event with some custom tracks at some point.

And there's talk of another list. But I haven't gotten a chance to purchase all the cars yet myself!
