Welcome Zo, you are the 100th member of the Makeshift Shuffle club now.
It was the first car I ever drove in real life.
My granddad had a dark red one with automatic transmission
and I practised with that car before taking my drivers license.
👍Hey Hey Hey, I'm back! That's the good news, the bad news is that due to my new job and time zones I'll probably only be able to make Sunday races. It'll be good to get back on the track, see you Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!!!
You're welcome! We usually race on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 19:30 UTC. Prepare yourself to buy lot's of cars and change oil for all of them. You should have these car lists ready for sunday, watch this tread for the lists used in the events:Hi, I'm interested to join. I can participate in weekend events only.
@tarnheld Alright, thanks for the quick reply! I understand there is no registering process other than show up at the event?
I'll add you on PSN to make sure I don't miss out
I wouldn't be so sure. You were fast. I can only think of one particular alien who probably would have been faster if he had showed up.I'm glad they didn't all turn up yesterday, I might have struggled to get a race
Like this? Wow...I first learned to drive on a 1980s Chevy Monte Carlo.
Racing today???
Argh, that's too bad @watermelon punch, sorry for the deer but it's really fortunate that no human got hurt! Hope you have insurance; once a suicidal pheasant tried to cross the Autobahn by foot and ran into my car. The poor bird destroyed the bumper and radiator on impact and got stuck there, fortunately not impeding my driving me causing more trouble... The thing was that accidents involving animals with feathers aren't covered by my insurance...
In other bad news topping off a the bloody week I've had, on my way home from family thanksgiving dinner in the Poconos...
I drove my car into the path of a deer determined to occupy the same space... ,
And killed , the deer with the Impreza I just bought less than 3 months ago! 👎👎
The deer was deflected into the oncoming lane, and then I saw in my rear view mirror the car in the oncoming lane's headlights lighting the deer lying in the road, just before they, going rather fast, barreled into the carcass & hit it again.
But, we're okay, no human injuries... probably because I was really scanning for deer at the time and going under the speed limit, because I very nearly hit a deer that jumped in front of my car in the same stretch of road 8 months ago.
(Deer still seemed to come out of nowhere, despite me looking for deer, specifically.)
The damage appears to be superficial, but it's kind of extensive involving the fender, the front panel, and the headlight casing which was smashed out.
I hope everone's ready for Friday's Track Day! To spoil you for choice i let you choose between two creations by our prolific track builder @Patrick8308. Both are exclusive Member only private tracks, but i'll cover the expenses:
Montichello Motor Club, NY or Bilster Berg, NRW
So pick your poison! Personally i'd like to see Bilster Berg, as it's just a stones throw away from me, so i might get the chance to see it in real life someday!
