Automatics are retarded, one of the easiest way to drive faster and better is learning to shift by yourself. The game feels too arcadey with automatic.

I use auto since theres nothing real about the manual transmission in gt3..

You dont get the feed back of a downshift from 6th gear down to 4th. The car doesnt get affected by the engine breaking when downshifting all you get is a red line and you just slowly lose speed. I think in automodelista the shifting is alittle more real (even thought the game sucks) theres a lag when you up shift or down shift like in real life when you have to press the clutch in and move the stick. Also the car's weight shifts forward due to engine breaking taking effect.

But the only way to get all gold in the license is to go manual, so yeah i know how to use manual too. ;)

agree with the first part, nothing real about the manual tranny in gt3. but in automodellista, although there is lag, you should hear a dump valve sound as u change gears, cause the 'driver' has to take his foot off the accelerator in order to plug the next gear in. (well in real life u dont have to, but by the sound u can tell that that is what happens in automodellista)
