A Canadian will be competing at 7 WRC events. Patrick Richards driving a group "N" Impreza for Subaru Canada will be competing at WRC Sweden, New Zealand, Cyprus, Germany, Australia, and Corsica.
Pat is a former professional snowborder who attended a canadian rally and fell in love with the sport. He quite boarding an d finished the rest of that season competing in his own Impreza. The next season he was picked up by Subaru Canada to drive in the production class in Canada and impressed them enough to get a Group "N" Impreza for the next season and took 2nd overall in Canada and winning the SCCA group "N" title. In 2002 he won the overall canadian title, and competed in the second half of the season in the 206 cup in the U.K.

I was reading in Autosport that it was a far from auspicious debut. Injuring the co-driver in a road accident during shakedown is generally considered to be a career-limiting move for rally drivers!

Patrick still managed a 9th place with a severely sprained wrist and a local co-driver whose third language is english. What can you do, **** happens!
