Sad to see people 'nearly' begging for what's supposedly thiers. Oh well thats GT, you win none and lose all.
Well, it's only 'theirs' in terms of the game coming with promised updates - otherwise it wasn't with the original game package, so not necessarily theirs.
What I'm interested in and no one seems to talk about it is the dashboard instrumentation option :D
I have no idea what to expect - a simple on/off function, an extention of what is already there - or maybe it's an Apple style dashboard for quick menu options; who knows? I'm just waiting to see what it is and what it will do.

I can't remember what the point of this was now but here's my final attempt.

It seems to me too that PD has used like 50% real world roads and than also invented their own, which I think is fine as long as the feel is still authentic. With that being the case though, we won't know until we drive it. I'm of course very much looking forward to driving it, but I'm also a bit nervous, because we should be getting the track on any night this week now, and my power has been out since last Friday when a storm came through. I'll spare you the rant about the incompetence of the electric company, but I may not be getting it back until some time on Monday or Tuesday :scared:

I'm not sure exactly which post to respond to, so I'll just make a general response to the VGT content discussion:

We currently know of four existing VGT projects coming soon - the Toyota is confirmed for this incoming update. We also currently have the Alfa and Subaru in the code, and then there was that GM announcement that their car was ready, and they were just waiting for an opportunity to give it a solo release for proper spotlight utilization.

Since the word VGT "cars" was used, it could be any combination of these remaining vehicles... However, I'm doubting the GM will release in this update because of those manufacturer statements.

Does anyone know where the official Zahara video is? I can only find the one by Cobaiye on YouTube. 480p video is not good for comparing it to the NicoNico stream vid which is also in 480p.

That looks like a stylized logo. Track map is zoomed in just below it to the right.

Edit: Better question... What is that below the rear view mirror?

You can see in the top left where lap count usually is it says "section"... And those credit values are really apparent now...

...There's definitely a special event incoming.

I'm really curious as to what the green numbering under the mirror is, and in fact all of this new HUD data...

*Edit: I'm not sure if it's the multi-color overlay distorting my view, but the text under the "Total Time" seems to read "Best Score" - If that's the case, those "values" I mentioned may actually be score targets...

I wonder if there will be some sort of new game type added?

Maybe some sort of sector indicator, right below the rear wiew mirror is some kind of score; 21,486 points or something like that.
Edit:
There is also a Best Score right below the Time Indicator.

Remember that it is the Japanese version, so it may be 100,000, 80,000 and 60,000 for the rest of us...

Not saying that's the case, just that it's possible...

Might be the position indicator, and the thing beside it might be your dog tag from a club(Community Feature)

Yep, there's a 'Section' indicator on the upper left (marked at 2/12 - probably 12 sections on the entire map)
on the videos, there's some green signs and yellow clocks around the track too... maybe this 'Sierra Time Rally' will have (some kind) of checkpoint system

Limited licensing I think is why cars like the GameSpot NASCAR have not returned. As for why some odd cars have been cut over the years, that's a good question.
please elaborate on that?

Huh, am I missing something? Since when are historic landmarks, and fake racetracks created around them, licensed?
I think the city of Sienna complained or wanted money...that or what @sirjim73 said

that's looking like it... 1,000,000 needed for gold, with a 2.4 Mil payout (4.8 on 200% bonus). I really wonder what that mode could be, now!

42 sectors (at least), 1 Million points target, would need average of 23,809 per sector...

Why it can't just be Monday already to see if there's going to be a maintenance...

If I'm right, the Notice of maintenance should come up in a matter of hours (I think three is the number)... If there is, of course
