Finally the 13 year wait is over. Thirteen years, the dozens of Maserati buyers have been begging for the Kubang to be built. Those dozens will finally get their dream car. AFTER THIRTEEN YEARS.

Still, it ain't half bad. I do wonder which Jeep it'll share its platform and drivetrain from. Oh, and how terrible the reliability will be. And the terrible resale values. Yeesh.

It's built on the Dodge Durango platform. Ummm, yea............

Who told you that lie??

Why, Maserati? Why would any supercar-exclusive company ever damage their reputation by making SUVs?!

OH, LORD. :ill:

Since when has Maserati been a "Supercar-exclusive" company" ??? 380hp Grand Touring coupes and sedans doesnt scream Supercar company.

They're making the same mistake as Porsche: Take your good looking sportscar and blow it up to SUV size.

Kill it with fire.

Except The design was based on a Sports car.

SUVs haven't been about offroading probably since the mid 90s.

"Sport" Utility Vehicle, it can go either way.

Its Not shared with ANY Chrysler Corp Vehicle Platform (The Concept was), it might have Floor pan peices from LX cars but that doenst mean its based on the Platform. The Levante is based on the Ghibli which is based on the QP.

What is up with their glasshouse design lately? Looking at the rear passenger glass, it doesn't even look like a continuous flow. It jerks up slightly in a haphazard way above the styling on the flank. They ruined the Quattroporte in the same way, although the Ghibli is better in this regard.

@psntomaz You quoted a 4.5 year old post to... agree with it?

There's absolutely no need to triple-post. Use the multi-quote function or Edit feature.

This just confirms I did the right thing last week by congratulating Callum for being able to design a crossover with the family sports car genes in a way nobody else in the industry seems capable of.

Even worse, from the rear this could just as easily pass as a render of a third-gen Infiniti FX after an unfortunate run-in with those awful stick-on Buick portholes.

I tried. it was just that there was a Second Page i didnt know about. thanks to my board setting.

Saw one of these in town today... had to do a doubletake, not in a good way. It was that off-white pearl that usually makes cars look really good, and it didn't work. It looked overly bulky and cumbersome, the front doesn't fit it, and the rear is...well, it exist.

They've sold out their Australian production allotment until April next year. Maserati are also saying they won't make a small version to go after Macan.
The Levante is to make up 59 percent of Maserati sales.

The Levante is to make up 50 percent of Maserati sales.
I wouldn't doubt it's a similar situation here. New imports work their way inland, and if they're here (Texas) this soon, I can't really think of another situation.

At least they aren't trying to reach every size available.

It was also about how, for example, Audi sell cars in the range from $30,000-$400,000AUD. Maseratis start around $150k and they'd like to stay out of Ferrari territory.

Grecale US pricing released- $63,500 base price, $102,500 for the souped up Trofeo.

That's a substantial increase over the Tonale, almost $20k difference in base pricing. Not to mention, the Grecale has been in production since March and have hit the dealers around the summertime, yet I haven't seen a single one on the road yet. And I live in an area with a fair amount of Levantes.

Arrives? I've already been seeing these drive around Dayton for months and I had no idea what they were until a week ago.
