Mazda CX-3- Crossover based on the Mazda2

The CX-3 will sell like the plague in OZ, maybe it's the reason I don't like Mazdas because they are just everywhere they become boring to look at.

All we'll see are black, white and red ones. The Apps for infotainment will definitely be the only thing young buyers will want.

Another competitor at the moment, the Land Rover LR2, which I would have over the others.
As far as the Mazda goes, it looks nice and will have nice engine choices.

That has been replaced by the Discovery Sport. and is definetely far more expensive then even the CX-5 not to mention it's not a crossover, it can actually go offroad and is designed as such.

Freelander is much bigger and it costs much more than the CX-3, so they aren't really competing with each other. Right now the only Mazda that is in same category as the Freelander, is CX-5.

Not completely. If you want to get the car in 2014, you have to take the Freelander.

The Discovery is bigger than the LR2, and has 7 seats. It doesn't completely replace it.

Not really, it doesn't directly replace it. But hey, at least you have Wikipedia.
Just because facts don't agree with your opinion don't make then wrong.

Facts are facts.

The freelander name has been replaced, thats all there is to it.

It's not an opinion. Land Rover have never said the D.S. Was the direct replacement for the LR2, but the LR2 is being phased out for the Evoque and new line of Discovery models.

The more I look at it, the more it's sucking me in. AWD manual(if they do make that spec) seems like fun. A future CX-3 MPS, would be a little Macan Turbo S.

Totally wondering this, not sure if it's off-topic, as it is related to the focused car:

Are we getting the next-gen Mazda2 here in the states?

From this link http://www.topspeed.com/cars/mazda/2016-mazda2-ar164452.html it's reading 2015. Dont know what trims the USA is getting. Here in Oz, there are Neo(entry level), Maxx(healthy set of features standard, HUD for one) and Genki(a "sport" model model with everything).

A side note: the Juke seems to be selling here. If the Juke Nismo(My 75yo Mother had to upgrade from the base Juke) Nismo RS will be sold here, Mazda will have to up the ante with a 2.0L or 1.5T or 2.5 from the Mazda3 GT.

Well the Juke 1.6T already has more power then the 2.5L.

It's got 2kW more hp, but 10nM less than the 2.5. Mazda would have to tap into a sport version of the CX-3. It would be so fun to own one. I remember the base Protege sedan was named the MX-5 of small sedans. Imagine what the creators of the MX-5 could do to this new model. :D

That looks hot. I sincerely hope Mazda makes an RX7 successor (at this point, I don't even care if it's rotary or not) with this design language. That face is begging for a handsome, S14-Kouki-esque sports coupe.

A nice Mazda sporty coupe would be excellent...but without the Rotary it should have a different name.
