McLaren F1 Stealth Model (first tune)

I think the higher the LSD values are, the more unstable the car will become.

Higher initial torque in a LSD will place emphasis on the nature of the car's layout, for example rear wheel drive cars (inclusive but not limited to FR and MR etc) will oversteer, whilst FF or FWD cars with a front distribution bias will understeer.

GT5 does not offer 1, 2 or 1.5 way LSD. But the settings can be adjusted to match the aforementioned types of LSD.

1 way LSD works under acceleration input, thus is best suited for FF cars. 2 way LSD is best suited for AWD or any other rear-wheel drive car. A 1.5 way LSD is similar to a 2 way, but has less impact on brake input thus increasing corner entry ability. It is possible to tune your LSD to reflect these variations.

Vett'e, you're completely over my head. In terms adjustment of each of the three, what should I expect if I go higher or lower from default? For an AWD car, how should front & rear be adjusted?

If I have a MR car that wants to snap around under braking, should I adjust the 3rd (braking) up or down to dial that out? How would this differ from adjusting brake bias? What about a M-AWD car that has a "loose" rear end under braking and hard acceleration exiting turns. How could this be cleared up?

It's nice that there is more description with settings. But for me, it's still not simplified enough. Examples of problems with solutions would be ideal. Adjust setting "x" up to get this result or down to expect that result.

Wow you were right Seoul, I just hit level 19 and hitting the GT all stars and I was forced to throttle so much earlier just to keep up and needless to say I was burned. Hopefully my fully tuned Enzo can keep up with those bad boys.

:(
For GT Allstars I used the Zonda/Veyron IIRC

Hi seoulspirit,

Thank you, amazing tune!

Have you tuned any other stealth car? I really like them, but I am an horrible tuner. In that case, could you share them, please?

Thanks in advance!!!

Nope any you can't trade stealth cars :(

I am sorry, I should explain wrong. I was talking about share your tunes of the stealth cars, suchs as you did with the McLaren, not about trade stealth cars.

I really like your tunes (this one and the Zonda), good job, and thank you!

Thanks in advance!

Well (wow i'm unclear ._.) I meant that's the only stealth car i have, and im unable to tune the others due to a lack of trade ability

So Im having a hell of a time figuring this car out. Handles great, but its ALWAYS stepping out on me. Im using a DS3, so its a bit harder to control.

Anything I can to keep the rear planted? Ive softened up the rear (spring rate, dampers both ways), its helped some. But, not totally.

Can I adjust the LSD any to keep the rears from spinning up so easily?

So I did a combo of a few things...

TCS - 7
ABS - 6

LSD Initial - 60
LSD Accel - 15

The LSD Accel was HUGE. Being that I use the DS3, I can only modulate so much before slamming 100% throttle. With LSD-A set at 60, the car was stepping out in 2nd and 3rd.

So after reading the notes about it, it said the higher the number, the closer to full lock the diff would get. So I figured, why not drop it down and keep it from locking, light up the inside tire haha. So I dropped it to 5. Understeer city. So Im going to start to work it back up until I get to a nice balance point.

Overview:Sacrifice some speed for total traction and control
Parts you'll need:ALL the best parts (even stage 3 engine)
Tires:Racing Soft

Aerodynamics (buy it from GT auto):
Front:50
Rear:70
This is the maximum setting for control

Transmission
Top speed: (I prefer 205-261)
It's impossible to hit 260+ even on Daytona (stock)

Adjustable LSD:
Initial Torque:60
Accel Sens:60
Break sens:30
Again, more traction at the cost of speed and understeer. Break sens is lower because it's halfway between total oversteer in the corner and better performance in the corner...I'd suggest using a lower setting for Break first

Suspension (fully customizable)
Ride height: -2 front//10 back
Spring rate: 14.7 front//19 back
Dampers (ext):4 front//8 back
Dampers (comp):2 front//6 back
Anti roll:7 front//1 back
Camber: 3.7 front//4 back
Toe:0.30 front//-0.10 back

Brakes
Front 4//6 Back

Basically you set the LSD to maximize traction at the cost of understeer, but then compensate with setting the suspension to oversteer tendencies

Assists:Traction control:1, ABS, 10, ASM or anything else:None

Interesting LSD set up. Your diff is effectively LOCKED, meaning there's literally no slip at all! Meaning both braking and acceleration sensitivity is completely redundant, I think the initial torque should be lowered to around 40+ and bring acceleration sensitivity down to 45. You'll get more or less the same effect, but at least on exit your car can take tighter lines.

I discovered the same thing. See my above post. Im still tweaking, but Im in the 40 range for LSD-Init and 15-20 for LSD-A.

Its so much more driveable now and I can actually put the power down coming out of turns in lower gears (2,3).
