hello guys
me and my dad are planning to do a night race with the 2 of us
just lay a bed downside and race the whole night long
we dont have that much spare time so this would be nice
but we have no idea of wich car we are going to take
we do know the circuit we want to do we did the nurnburgring before
but now we want to do circuit the la sarthe 1
but we wanna race for a about 4 or 5 hours
we only dont know wich car we should take because the most cars that are fun to drive are around one lap in 3 and a half minutes

so i wonder do you guys have any car in mind that wouldbe fun to drive????

(we want to drive a lap times about 4 and a half minutes)

please dont mind my english but im only thirteen and im dutch so.....

You can take BMW 120 d. It can make 4 or 5 minutes. You can also take Audi A3 3.2 quattro. do you want to have the same cars?

Ah just havin a bit of fun. :) Me and my friend Dave used to have all sorts of races in GT2 (this was over 3 years ago). In GT2 or GT4, there's simply no end to the variety of cars you can chooose to race one another: sports cars, kei cars, convertibles, wagons....even minivans and some SUVs! 👍 My only suggestion is don't make your race more than 10 laps. Can you even set the number of laps in GT4? I don't know...I don't get to do any 2-player racing anymore :grumpy: but if you can, keep the race 3 to 10 laps. It starts getting silly if you go more than that, but I'm just making a suggestion.

Since you're Dutch, you might wanna pay a visit to one of those "coffee houses" if you live near one. :embarrassed: Me & Dave used to...uh...have a little "bake sale" before we'd indulge in our racing trysts. wink wink nudge nudge...

It's legal where I used to live in Oregon so long as you have a medical card. You could have 4 vegetative plants and 3 budding ones--all legal.

anyways, that was a nice story. I'm 40 years old; me and my dad never do anything together anymore! which kinda sucks. :( We just talk cars and politics. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Hi folks! to get back on the "me and my dad" theme (and keep the padlock away for a while) I can tell you that I´m a dad AND a GT fanatic :dunce: (no drugs stronger than wine, beer and Whiskey dugh) and I use to race with my son. Since we both suck with the gamepad and only have one wheel we use to let one of us chose car and the oter one chose track and then we do one fast lap and best of five.

I'll second that! Me & my dad occasionally watch a race on TV..mostly GT cars racing around Mid-Ohio or the Daytona 24 hours or something. It's been an informal tradition since I got into cars when I was 12. So one day he's over and I had just started GT3. :) I was doing the Beginner's Turbo Cup at Route 11, and I had modified my Nissan Silvia K's with a 1.5 differential.

Before I installed the diff, I was having all sorts of problems getting my Nissan to corner as I wanted. I would brake into all those hairpins okay, but as I laid down the power, the car would get all squirrelly and I lost the race to a Mitsubishi 3000GT. :nervous: I put the 1.5 back there, and all a sudden it solved 90% of my issues! :) I won the race and got a great replay of me falling behind at the start to the all-wheel drive Mitsubishi but then smoking him later on in the race!

As I said my dad was over. What a great way to introduce him to my passion! ....I thought. He watched part of the replay, fiddled with his watch, ...man it was so awkward. He didn't say it, but i know he was thinking:

here's my son...38 years old, playing a videogame!!! :( I really thought he would dig it since we both love cars, but it just left me a bit embarrassed! Oh well.

Man, your lucky, if i get my dad to play, it would be only like 15 minutes before he gets man and walks off. He somehow thinks even though I have a DFP, that the car will handle like his real one, he says the physics are all wrong.:yuck:
 
Well my dad's not a wanker. Matter of fact, he's an engineer and usually very interested in anything mechanical. We've had plenty of talks about cars and racing (like I said, we've even occasionally watched a race on TV together going back to when I was 13). So
I naturally thought he'd at least want to see one of my replays...:( .

cool i done that with my dad
50!!! laps of the nurburgring i was in a elise and my dad was in a corsa lol
it toke us 1 hour to do 6 laps coz we had comfort tires on so every 2 laps we were in the pits but it was fun!!!!!!

I'm 40 so I guess I could be your dad. But (thank god) I can't have any kids due to a medical operation I had when I was 26 :embarrassed:. I'd be a pretty s:censored:tty dad anyways.

I have a nephew who's into videogames, but he likes all the arcadish ones...he gets a bit frustrated with Gran Turismo I think. I let him borrow GT3 a month ago and after 2 days he came back "here's your game." I could tell he wasn't exactly thrilled with the realistic physics model and stuff. :guilty:
