I actually really like the look of that. Extended wheelbase cars often just look rubbish, but I think Merc did a really good job of adding in the extra metal.
I hope it depreciates to $20k in 10 years. Would be an awesome car to drive everyday.
you cannot really compare a trim level to a marque
Mercedes AMG wasn't already, atleast partially, a luxury brand?Mercedes AMG is a recognised sports brand, Mercedes Maybach will become a recognised luxury brand.
Mercedes AMG wasn't already, atleast partially, a luxury brand?
This doesn't really feel like a change... Daimler have had the Maybach brand for some years, all they're doing is sticking "Mercedes" on the front as it's got more prestige - they'll just be a distinct sub-class of the S class. That parallels Mercedes-Maybach (luxury) with Mercedes-AMG (sportivo) in their line-up. The rusty builder's vans will remain plain ol' Mercedes
I see what you mean but I think Mercedes have the best of both worlds now. Mercedes AMG is a recognised sports brand, Mercedes Maybach will become a recognised luxury brand. The company probably have all kinds of sales "ins" to the prestige customer base already, doing it this way makes it easier for them to get the sales, I think.
I WOKE UP IN A NU BUGATTEHCustomers that any respectable marque would only dream of
Screams Maserati to me.
Nice Maserati, what's it called?
It does give me a slightIts practically a Mercedes VGT only slightly differentvibe, though.
Teaser video with gullwings. Name is Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6
Is it me or does it look slightly like it was rendered in a video game?
Slightly simplified take on Mercedes's design language... though why bother with the Maybach name? I can only imagine this will be followed up by a much less dramatic looking Mercedes S-Class Coupe with optional Maybach package.
