At least the Excelero tried to bring it's own identity to the Maybach nameplate, this latest one is clearly a Mercedes concept tarted up with Maybach badges - it wouldn't have mattered if this said Maybach on it or not. Waste of an opportunity in my opinion. Daimler have all the talent they need to make Maybach a winner, I just think its a shame that every design brief seems to end with "... and it must clearly be a Mercedes Benz."

According to autobild, AMG is also working on a 1300hp/1300kg hyper car which is supposed to go against the Red Bull Aston Martin.

It's still just an Exelero-like vaporware concept that will never see production.

The Exelero does exist and has proven to be a very capable car. 2700kg curb weight, 4.4sec 0-100km/h and 351km/h top speed.

Lets wait and see. I really want this car to hit the road.

I think it's probably a little much describing it as "capable" when there's one sole example in existence, which someone paid a vast sum to own that was 'difficult to drive' and quickly warped its brake discs when given a bit of stick.

As for this latest one, the AUP prevents me from unleashing my full thoughts, but it's comfortably the most vulgar monument to "I'm rich and **** the rest of you" excess I've seen in quite some time. Almost impressively so, and something that's so close in concept to Peter Griffin's penis car has abundant amusement value. But it's so utterly tasteless and so certain to be owned and driven by the worst mankind has to offer that I see no redeeming qualities to it whatsoever.

Actually, what you said was this:
