Thanks for the button layout tips. I'll check into assignments tonight. Spent some time Friday night and last night with the game and moved up to "Veteran" status. I've raced the same car (Nissan 240) since I started. It's tricked out as far as it will go. I lose some of the red races. But, I win most of the orange and yellows and all of the green races now. Money and rep are building faster. It's about time to look into another ride.

My favorite races are the freeway runs right now.....epecially when the cops get after me. They have a hard time keeping up when you're cruising I-5 at 159mph, lol.

Nice to read that the game is very playable with a wheel^^
I have read that it's even better then Grid wich took me ages to get the right feel for me.

think about buying this game.

Boy are you gonna love it when you're another 100mph higher later on during highway runs. Saying that though I'm not an exotic fan so I generally have my Skyline and RX7 on the highways doing 200mph ish.

Don't waste your money on new cars, use the ones you win then save up...
1 million at the end of the game (not 100% just end of the main story) can land you a partnership with Karol making every single car and upgrade free from then on.

I'm not too worried about the trophies, I just want to unlock all the customizations so my nephew can have fun tuning some cars.

Dragonistic, have you made a decision on that game save yet? :D I'll send you flowers in the mail or something... haha ;)

NFS: Undercover looks great too, it might give this game a run for its money, one thing I enjoy about MCLA is the in-car view. They've done it quite well, which is something NFS will lack entirely.

Logged around 4-5 hours last night.

Controls are a little iffy at first, but they've been done extremely well. Low speed driving is still very controllable, while high speed allows for some very arcade-ic driving. Started out with the 240SX, and won quite a few races in it. Also found anything in the orange is pretty tough with minor upgrades.

I did win Nikolai's Camaro which has become a great car for dominating a lot of races as well as Karol's 240Z which I have yet to use. The test drive feature is great as well. I spent about 30 minutes driving a few cars & taking the Murcielago out on the highways. The attention to detail from MC3 is still there with the car's bat wings & spoiler rising up for high speeds. đź‘Ť I also love how the Fix It Up feature is free.

I've still scratchd the surface, but I can see a majority of courses only really need one or 2 restarts before you can identify the course with ease. The series races are also a tricky bit.

But, overall, I like it. I'm not convinced on buying it yet, but it is holding time over til' GOW2.
The only thing I can't figure out is how to access the photomode.

I need to change up the races I'm targeting. The series races can be kind of tough to beat until trying a couple of times. I've had the most fun running freeway races. It's lame I know. But, overtaking a competitor while in 4th gear, flashing the lights to start the event, then shifting to 5th and letting a level 2 EMP go to sandbag the other driver makes for an almost sure win even on the red drivers. It's an easy way to build up cash for upgrades as well as rep. Now, when I win a freeway race, the competitors are complimentary. They used to talk trash at the end. Now, I gots respect, lol.

I bought a Skyline yesterday thinking I could start tuning it out of the box. But, then I learned I have to race with it first to unlock upgrades :(. So, I'm back in my fully tuned 240SX. Guess I'll stick with it and win cars instead of buying them for now.

I'll repeat myself, don't buy any cars until the end of the game, you win one for each class that should suffice for the entire game up until the end (of story not 100%) where you need 1,000,000 for a special gift that you WILL want.

I've taken in that advice, thats why i dont care much about the RS4 any more. Only game I've ever really used it in was Test Drive Unlimited. I wanna own the real car some day even though I just got a CTS-V :)

hi guys,

can i register into social club through game or i must register on official web site? ( i am picking the game tonight)

Thx

Not far... I've played games that are similar and they didn't keep my interest too long either. Not going to buy it.

Played it more and yeah... boring. It's like GTA in racing form instead of criminal. I relate most of the game like Juiced 2 as well. No thanks

I've grown a little bored of it now that I've acquired my Chevy Camaro Concept, and spent enough time playing with the Test Drive feature.

I await NFS though, and play GOW2 in the meantime.

The one thing that did bug me though is continuously driving to all the races & locations. Would be nice for a JUMP-TO option.

Oh and, you CAN teleport to races, if you're a bit witty. Enter race editor and you can move the checkpoints about and test the tracks, during testing if you quit you stay where you were testing, so that means you can just enter race editor, move you car and quit. Job done.

I'm also pretty bored of this to, I do enjoy a nights highway racing with friends in my RX7 (no wall riding rubbish!).

I still get some fun out of this game, I have recently found a way to drift with some success (drifting + cops = yay :)) and I'm still enjoying the highway races, that is until my copy of Wangan Midnight arrives

The game is pretty awesome for the first 10 hours or so, then gets a bit tedious as you have to drive to all the races manually. Still only about 25% through the game though =S

I just picked up this game at quite a good price now that its dropped (probably due to undercover just coming out) and seeing as that turned out to be a disaster I decided to take the plunge with MCLA.

I was quite skeptical before but actually im plesantly suprised. I didnt know Angel Studios (Rockstar SD) was behind this because I had Midtown Madness ages ago and loved it and can see the game game design coming through.

Have only played for like 3 hours and I wouldnt say the racing is super hard, its just quite challenging and might take 3 or 4 restarts to win. Sure the AI rubber banding its extreme but if you crash you get the same treatment and can catch up to them easily.

I dont know if this game has much of an online following and if many people are still playing it :indiff:(eventhough its been like 2 weeks!). I'l see how it goes and might decided whether to keep it or trade.

I just have a few questions, I dont know if Rockstar are starting to become lazy like EA.

- Could there be a patch to fix the AI, maybe add rotation to the overhead map etc etc?

- Is DLC likely?, and do you recon it will be free? Because there is a downloable content thing in the menu so I really don't know what to expect. Im hoping for lots more cars because that is LA's biggest weakness compared to 3. Burnout really sets the standard on DLC but they are non licenced cars.
