Oh joy, christmas sounds like fun, im getting this game and I have no doubt it will be good, the DLC might become the first thing I pay for on PSN. I need to pay someone who has a credit card though...

Here in the states they have the PSN gift card, you pay $20 or $50 at the store and use it on the Playstation store and don't have to use a credit card.

Yeah sounds are quite decient, very similar to NFS sounds which are excellent.

I'm not impressed with some of the car sounds, most notable to me is the Skyline GTR which has no potency in it's engine note at all, alot of sounds are just copied across each other to, particularly in the muscle section. It's hardly a problem though, they are not an issue but more something that could be better, but suffices well enough.

Got this game for Christmas. Wasn't too thrilled about it when I rented it, but when I took it back, I just wanted to play it more.

hi all :) treated myself to a pre-owned copy for £19:99 yesterday, and i'm finding it a lot of fun 👍

it won't replace the more 'serious' kind of gt5p, fc, gtl, gtr2 type stuff in my heart, but for a mellow buzz, it's doing the job :D

Thats what Midnight Clubs for :) Always been a good quick thrill.

I'm picking up a copy of this game next week. If you're interested in racing me send me a PM. All my cars will be modified to have a theme for The Lion's Den.:sly:

Count me in for some of that, I should have a G25 as well by then :D

I borrowed that game from my friend, and i've been playing for a long time in his house in his NON HDTV. Today i took it to my home and loaded it onto my 1080p Full HDTV and OMG its amazing. The game was already a lot of fun at his house but now with that wonderfull graphic its amazing.

I have no intentions if using my wheel on an arcade game, expecially with all the special moves and handbrake turns and who knows what else I will be doing.

Turbo Lag has been using his G25 and says it works just fine. LA isn't anywhere near as fast as it used to be, particularly at the start. 3 felt like you were constantly doing 400mph whereas LA is a much more progressive sensation of speed.

Yes, he told me too that it works fine, but the buttons are hard to access easily with a wheel, being an arcade game with special moves, handbrake turns, (Nitrous?), I'd rather use the controller.

It is fine with the G25, but there's a tonne of buttons and controls which are hard to access when you need them. They aren't, and I repeat aren't controls which you need for driving. The Photomode isn't that fun since you can't control the cameras etc. Right now I have the right, red button set for Rear view because I use it alot, left red for lights, left paddle for Nitrous/Boost and right for special move. The clutch is kind of dodgy, I really don't recommend using it.

Actually my old friend, you can use the 2 buttons on the steering wheel to zoom in/out, turn wheel to go around car, & paddles for panning.

i just discovered that if you have music on your ps3 you can listen to the music while you race.
Right now as we speak i'm making a sweet playlist, just like the music i listen too in my car, i'm gonna listen to the same when i'm racing in LA :)

You can? I can't. I'll try it again later, but last time I checked only my pedals work for panning.

I just got to the part where you have to drive across town to get to the races. It's a bit annoying.

Take the freeways across town and take on some racers, they are quick - fast - and earn rep/cash. You can also go into race editor, and jump to a race that is on the other side of town. I have yet to try it but there is a post about it earlier in this thread. I may be on the streets of LA tonight after work :mischievous:.

I realised the G25 does work with Photomode, but not in the garage for some reason. Oh well. Right now I'm continuing the game with my Camaro DUB edition. I've got a fleet of cars in hand, which are all won except the Golf, which I traded my 240SX for. I'm keeping them all for pinkslip races and/or to sell for extra cash when the game finishes.

Really? I'm still unsure, I think for me I'd have more fun using the controller. I could also use the "chase" camera view then, so I can constantly look at my nicely modified cars.:sly: Just a preference, although now that you explain I can see there'd be nothing wrong with using the wheel.:)

You can enter create a race mode, move the start line marker to near or next to where you want to go on the map, exit the create mode and you car will be transported to where you exited, saves you driving across town. 👍

Robin.

Wrong, there's a little trick to getting places quick.

Open race editor, hit create race, then go into the fly mode (not sure what it's called) then hit select again to put your car wherever your cursor is. You can keep bashing select to teleport little distance to confuse people online in a cruise to.

I prefered to drive around, but it's up to you.
