Nope. But, does it matter?

Actually, it kinda does. All these little strips of land add lag and slow down the server.

Dunc, why don't you install some plugin that limits the world size? A lot of servers have this and limit it to 10,000 x 10,000 or something similar.

That's what I was planning on doing but never got round to it! I was going to go for 5000 x 5000 but 10000 x 10000 would have the mushroom area within it.

Maybe I'll just do that.

Is it possible to move an island, like you can a house?

Yeah but it may crash teh server as it's so big and it will only move the land and not make the area it's moved to a mushroom biome.

/me objects
i think we should have it like the simpsons move with the huge glass dome with a bomb in the middle,

p.s also seeking assisstence with my snowball game : Feel free to help but ask me first!!!
Good night and good day

Instantly regretted buying diamonds in my shop for 30 per diamond. Logged in and had 12 credits left, down from 1000 :/. Sigh.

Thanks for bringing back Dungeons Dunc!

I found it in a somewhat strange way. I was walking above the ground with one of those Ender things looking for a Stronghold. I set a home on the grass and went to Panacea. I came back next to a huge lag hole. Everything under the earth in that spot was visible. And I saw some mossy cobble. I dug down and was stunned that I couldn't break the cobble to get into what I assumed was a Spawner. I then saw a new building on the map. I left the hole and went to it. I saw a new railway location, I then followed the path to the hut inside the mountain. Then I realised why I couldn't break the cobble. I proceeded to complete both stages of the Dungeon.

Can we have another one? :D

Take the left track in the downstairs of the station.

I would like my own Minecraft server, but I am afraid my laptop could not run it. Though, if I do in the latter, I would appreciate assistance. :3

Oh it'd run it. It takes nothing to run a server. Thing is though, it would suck a lot of power from your laptop when your trying to do other things. 90% of servers have a dedicated machine. But if you did want to set up a server, you need nothing of high end parts, if it's just for a few friends etc. Old P4 systems or Athlon's would do the job fine. My server's a bit higher end since I've got the bits laying around, but even a trashpicked computer from your local dump would be fine if you could clean it up and check the power supply.

Could everyone be so kind to post the specs of their computer, so I can see if there are any really good ones I could "replicate"? Not too complicated, just basics like CPU, GPU, screen and harddrive. Not you tlowr, you have a Mac.

Mac:
13" Mid-2009 MacBook Pro
Intel Core2Duo @ 2.26GHz
2GB DDR3 1067MHz RAM
GeForce 9400M 128MB
750GB HDD

Planned Deskie:

Intel Core i5 2500K
8GB DDR3 RAM
GeForce GTX560Ti/Radeon 6870 OC
500GB HDD
23" ASUS LED Monitor

and if I hear anymore comments about my Mac and how much of an issue you have with it, and degrading me as a human just because I own one, I'm going to start taking it very seriously.

FFS Jai, you took a boat 7000 blocks??

I'm going to have to delete that whole area and mushroom biome.

THAT'S what I was talking about in the last page!! :banghead:

Seriously, it's getting bloody rediculous. Just delete the whole lot I say. Maybe worldedit the mushroom biome to somewhere closer to spawn, if it's a big deal and can't be lost.

Thats nearly my exact computer . Cheapest machine to make and it slays everything that comes at it, best 600 i've ever spent.

I have the Radeon 6870, no need to overlock it or the cpu at all unless you plan to run 2 HD screens while playing skyrim or something whack. I also have 1TB instead of 500GB and a 23" LCD Asus screen, rather than LED :P.

Oh yeah? Come at me, bro!

By the way, your Macs graphic card is ****. I have better on an ancient Travelmate!

^ By your saying "come at me bro:, did you realize what I meant, and what you were getting into? IE I may report your post if you get any more abusive with your comments. Also, why is it of concern to you what sort of computer I have? Would you like it if I picked on your computer? By all means, list what type it is and it's specs. I'm sure I can find something I can comment on...

@Dunc Yep. Getting a Gigabyte Z77 board with an onboard mSATA slot so I can cache my HDD later.

EDIT @Leg haha yeah, I have only got room for 1 screen :( I might gheto mount a little 13" Screen somehow so I can have like, stream chat or such up to. I'm going to be doing a lot of livestreaming, so having a second monitor just to show streamchat and other things such as system temps would be a godsend.

Well, Tyne, mine is an ancient Acer Travelmate 6592G.

2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7500
15.4 WSXGA+ LCD
512MB ATI Mobility Radeon 2400XT Hypermemory
2GB DDR2

You can easily pick on those specs, but I will get something awesome in a little while.
